Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Flex Team Maintenance Technician to support communities across the North region of Western Washington, including Seattle area. You will respond to resident service requests, perform appliance repairs, and help make-ready apartments for new move-ins.

You'll maintain exterior areas, assist with vendor management, and conduct routine inspections of equipment. This role offers project-based assignments with a focus on reliability and hands-on problem solving.

Qualifications

• Knowledgeable in safe use of hand and power tools and mechanical equipment.
• Experience with painting, entry level carpentry, appliance repair, basic plumbing.
• High level of professionalism in manner and dress.
• Excellent written and spoken communication.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite.

JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

The Greystar Flex Team is a group of highly skilled, adaptable professionals who support communities in the North region of Western Washington. Everett, Lynnwood, Lake Stevens, Mukilteo, Bothell, Edmonds, Shoreline, Kirkland, Redmond, Bellevue, Issaquah, Renton, Downtown Seattle, and surrounding Seattle areas. Wherever they are needed most. Flex Team members step into a variety of roles and property types, helping ensure smooth operations and providing solutions during staffing gaps or high-demand periods. This role offers the opportunity to gain exposure to diverse assets, collaborate with different teams, and expand your knowledge while making a meaningful impact across the portfolio. A competitive car allowance is offered of $300, as this role requires reliable transportation. Flex Team assignments are project-based, ranging from a minimum commitment of 5 consecutive working days up to assignments lasting as long as 12 weeks, depending on business needs.

What we are looking for

• Knowledgeable in safe use and maintenance of hand tools, power tools, and mechanical equipment
• Previous experience with painting, entry level carpentry, appliance repair, and basic plumbing
• High level of professionalism in both manner and dress
• Excellent communication skills: ability to read, write and communicate effectively
• Proficient in MS Office Suite

Essential Responsibilities:

• Completes assigned work orders generated from resident requests for service, as well as preventative maintenance on the property by diagnosing the source or cause of the defect or problem, and making repairs in accordance with established policies, procedures, safety standards, and code requirements.
