Job summary

Signode Industrial Group, LLC is seeking a Sr. Maintenance Technician to keep production running safely and efficiently, servicing complex equipment and preventing downtime.

You will troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, read schematics, and perform preventive maintenance in a fast-paced plant environment. The role requires 5 years of hands-on mechanical experience, welding skills, and knowledge of industrial maintenance practices.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School diploma or GED with mechanical apprenticeship or vocational certificate.
• Five (5) years of mechanical hands-on experience in industrial maintenance.
• Ability to read schematics, gauges, tools and instruments.
• Experience welding with MIG and/or arc welder.
• Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic systems, pumps, valves, cylinders, conveyors.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair electrical/electronic, hydraulic and pneumatic mechanical systems.
• Analyze and repair equipment to restore operation.
• Read and interpret technical procedures, blueprints and service manuals.
• Inspect equipment during preventative maintenance and report findings.
• Repair electrical issues using knowledge of drives and PLCs.
• Ensure machine productivity and quality after repairs and changeovers.
• Update maintenance tracking system and close work orders.

Job Description

Shift:

• 8:00am to8:00pm, 12-hour shift.Rotative schedule M/T, F/S/S - W/T
• 7:45pm to 8:00am,12-hours shift. Rotative schedule M/T, F/S/S - W/T(night shiftdifferential)

Salary:

The hourly wage for this position ranges from $33.00 - $41.00 and varies based on specific responsibilities and geographic location. Starting hourly rate within this range will be determined based on the candidate's experience, qualifications, and/or skillset.

Summary:

The primary purpose of the Sr. Maintenance Technician is to ensure production and operations are running safely at the most efficient level achievable, producing the highest possible production quality. Servicing and repairing complex equipment. Complies with applicable regulations and the department's Safety program.

Essential Functions:

• Performs troubleshooting and repair on electrical/electronic, hydraulic, pneumatic mechanical systems.
• Analyzes, troubleshoots, and repairs equipment.
• Read, analyze and interpret technical procedures, blueprints, service manuals, and work orders to perform required maintenance.
• Check and inspect assigned equipment during preventative maintenance. Reports findings to management.
• Performs corrections on electrical issues through knowledge of drives and PLCs.
• Ensure machine productivity and quality after repairs, changeovers, and extended down time.
• Complete work orders and update maintenance tracking system.
• Respond quickly to issues or concerns that may put employees at risk for injury, to include rectifying immediate dangers.
• Communicate existing and potential issues with group leaders/maintenance manager.

Education:

Minimum High School diploma or GED and mechanical apprenticeship and/or vocational school/technology certificate in mechanic.

Experience:

• Five (5) years of mechanical technical hands-on experience.
• Ability to read and use schematics, gauges, tools and instruments.
• Ability to use appropriate hand, power and specialty tools and diagnostic equipment to complete job tasks.
• Must have sound knowledge and experience in Industrial Maintenance environment with repair and troubleshooting machine issues and breakdowns along with general maintenance.
• Must have experience in welding with MIG and/or arc welder.
• Must have a good working knowledge in hydraulic, pneumatic, pumps, valves, cylinders, conveyors, etc.
• Forklifts and scissor lift driving experience is preferred.
