Job summary

Lippert is seeking aMaintenance Manager to coordinate, lead, and support maintenance operations across multiple sites in an industrial production environment. You will align with Lippert core values and safety guidelines while supporting maintenance leadership and technicians.

The role requires managing inventories, costs, forecasts, and performance metrics, plus collaboration with Safety and other departments. This is a full-time position with occasional weekend hours based on production needs.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience as Maintenance or Engineering Manager or in a similar leadership role.
  • Experience with CMMS software and Lean/Six Sigma training; 5S implementation.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the VP of Maintenance and Directors to define the maintenance vision and drive adoption.
  • Monitor asset inventories, maintenance costs/forecasts, and key metrics across multiple sites.
  • Coordinate with Safety to enforce policies and implement corrective actions.
  • Oversee disciplinary actions, performance reviews, and scheduling.

Summary/Objective:

Responsible for coordinating, leading, and supporting business operations that manage multiple sites of Maintenance staff in an industrial production environment, and/or utilizes unique skills that support strategic and broad impact to division/corporate initiatives. Responsible for adhering to Lippert core values, safety guidelines, and lead initiatives. Required to provide support, as necessary, to Maintenance Technicians and other Maintenance leadership.

Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for collaborating with the VP of Maintenance and/or Maintenance Directors on the maintenance vision and fostering adoption and implementation of same throughout the organization.
  • Responsible for monitoring and reporting asset inventories, maintenance and repair costs/forecasts, key maintenance performance metrics, and activity metrics across multiple sites.
  • Responsible for coordinating with the Safety department to enforce current policy and formulate corrective action plans throughout the facility.
  • Responsible for overseeing disciplinary actions, team member reviews, and team member timekeeping, hiring, and scheduling.

Working Conditions:

  • Primarily working indoors, office environment.
  • May sit or stand for several hours at a time.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic knowledge of facilities, machines and equipment.
  • Solid understanding of technical aspects of plumbing, carpentry, electrical systems, welding systems, etc.
  • Experience as a Maintenance or Engineering Manager or in a similar leadership role.
  • Experience organizing and overseeing multiple projects, and crews.
  • Must successfully complete Lippert new hire safety training and refreshers, Lock Out Tag Out Training, Arc Flash/Electrical Hazard Training, Fall Hazard Training, Confined Space Training, Lean Training, CMMS training.
  • Good housekeeping and implementing/sustaining 5s procedures.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, team building, and computer skills.
  • Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities.

Supervisory Responsibility:

This role will have multiple direct reports, including Maintenance Managers, Facility Managers, and CMMS Specialists.

Physical Demands:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by any team member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active – while performing this job the team member is regularly standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, balancing, reaching, handling, and climbing all day. The team member may have to lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision,

peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

In addition, the team member may be exposed to dust, fumes, gases, noise, heat, cold, and wet work while performing job duties. This position requires Personal Protective Equipment.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time salary position, and hours of work and days are based upon the need to support operations and production. Some Saturdays will be mandatory.

Travel:

Infrequent travel may be required for this position.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Experience in multiple leadership roles preferred.
  • Significant experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Experience as a Department of Labor Journeyperson preferred.
  • Experience working with CMMS software.
  • Experience with preventative maintenance, world class manufacturing methodologies, predictive maintenance, 5s, lean/six sigma principles, and/or daily team maintenance preferred.
  • Experience drafting with CAD software preferred.Manufacturing/industry experience.
  • Management/Leadership experience.
