Job summary

TechClub Inc in Jersey City, NJ seeks an experienced mainframe developer to join our banking-focused team. You will design, code, and maintain COBOL-based solutions and ensure alignment with regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities include crafting architecture and design docs, delivering secure, high-quality code, and collaborating with Product Teams to translate complex requirements into effective solutions. On-site role with strong problem-solving and communication skills required.

Qualifications

• Expertise in COBOL, JCL, VSAM, IMS, CICS & DB2.
• Mandatory knowledge of CICS Screen Programming.
• Experience with MQ Series & IMS DB is mandatory.
• Banking Compliance and Regulatory Platform experience preferred.
• Hands-on coding development experience.
• Experience with version control.
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members and clients.

Job description

• Develops and implements solutions that address complex business challenges, enhancing the ability to make data-driven decisions and improving operational efficiency
• Prepares architecture and design documents for complex Banking applications keeping in mind design constraints that translate to coding
• Develops secure and high-quality code that runs in sync with other highly efficient sub systems
• Think out-of-the-box proactively and be creative by challenging conventional approaches and contribute towards operational efficiency
• Troubleshoots problems, works with Product Teams and other stake holders to understand complex Requirements and be able to break them down to design/development.

Job Requirements:

• Candidate should have expertise in COBOL, JCL, VSAM, IMS, CICS & DB2.
• Expertise in CICS Programming including knowledge of CICS Screen Programming is Mandatory
• Experience/Knowledge in building and maintaining new Test regions is preferred.
• Experience coding in MQ Series & IMS DB is Mandatory.
• Experience in Banking Compliance and Regulatory Platform is preferred.
• Must have hands-on coding development experience.
• Experience with version control.
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members and clients and excellent problem-solving skills
