UCLA Health's Ambulatory Float Team seeks a Sr. Licensed Vocational Nurse to support patients across 25+ specialties in ambulatory clinics, including primary care, pediatrics, specialty, and surgery.

Qualifications

  • Active license issued by the CA Board of Vocational Nurse Examiners with IV Therapy and Blood Withdrawal.
  • Active BLS/CPR Certification from AHA or Red Cross.
  • Experience performing phlebotomy, injections, CPR, and other skills within scope of practice.
  • Ability to take vital signs, administer medications, and obtain drug refills.
  • Interpersonal skills in maintaining a cooperative working environment with physicians, staff, and health providers.
  • Knowledge of instruments and supplies to perform physical examinations and procedures.
  • Six months of LVN outpatient ambulatory clinic experience is highly desired.

Responsibilities

Travel Requirements

Travel to all UCLA Health Ambulatory Community Clinics throughout Southern California is required, and you must be physically present at assigned worksites. Assignment locations are based on operational needs and are subject to change.

Although travel to all UCLA Health community practices is required, current staffing needs are primarily located in the Southwest Valley region, including:

  • Thousand Oaks
  • Westlake Village
  • Calabasas
  • West Hills
  • Ventura
  • Simi Valley
  • Agoura Hills

Salary Range: $38.54 Hourly - $50.84 Hourly

Job Qualifications

Required:

  • Ability to be highly flexible, travel to multiple work sites within UCLA Health community based practices and work a variable schedule
  • Possession of active license issued by the State of CA Board of Vocational Nurse Examiners with Intravenous Therapy and Blood Withdrawal
  • Possession of active BLS/CPR Certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • Experience performing phlebotomy, injections, CPR, and other skills within scope of practice
  • Ability to take vital signs, administer medications, and obtain drug refills
  • Interpersonal skills in maintaining a cooperative working environment with the physicians, staff, and all health providers.
  • Knowledge of all instruments and supplies to perform physical examinations and procedure

Highly desired:

Minimum of six months of experience working as an LVN in an outpatient ambulatory clinic or a similar healthcare setting.
