Job summary

The Laramar Group LLC is seeking a Senior Leasing Consultant in Centreville, VA. You will drive leasing performance and enhance the resident experience by blending sales with leadership support for the leasing team.

You will mentor Leasing Consultants, assist with onboarding and training, and collaborate on marketing initiatives to maintain high occupancy and exceptional service. This role requires flexibility including weekends and evenings.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2–3 years of residential leasing or sales experience.
  • Experience mentoring or supporting team members preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Fair Housing laws and leasing compliance standards.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

The Senior Leasing Consultant supports the leasing performance and resident experience of the community by combining strong sales and customer service skills with leadership support for the leasing team. This role assists in driving occupancy, mentoring leasing staff, supporting marketing initiatives, and ensuring a high level of service for both prospects and residents.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Manage the full leasing cycle including prospect inquiries, property tours, application processing, and move-in coordination.
  • Achieve or exceed leasing and occupancy goals established by the Property Manager.
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of community floor plans, pricing, availability, lease terms, and amenities.
  • Accurately track leasing activity and prospect interactions within the property management system.
  • Serve as a point of contact for resident inquiries and assist in addressing concerns while directing requests to appropriate team members as needed.
  • Support resident retention initiatives including renewal outreach and community engagement efforts.
  • Assist with planning and coordinating resident events and community activities.
  • Mentor and support Leasing Consultants by modeling strong sales techniques, customer service, and professionalism.
  • Assist with onboarding and training new leasing team members.
  • Support the property management team by providing insight on leasing performance, trends, and operational needs.
  • Assist with marketing initiatives, outreach efforts, and maintaining positive online reputation.
  • Ensure model units, tour paths, and common areas are well maintained and presentation-ready.
  • Process applications, verify required documentation, and ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations and company policies.
  • Assist with lease renewals, notices, resident file audits, and leasing activity reporting.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 2–3 years of residential leasing or sales experience, preferably in multifamily property management.
  • Demonstrated success in leasing, sales, or customer service roles.
  • Experience mentoring or supporting team members preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Fair Housing laws and leasing compliance standards.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Reliable transportation required.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and occasional evenings as needed.
