JPMorgan Chase in Jersey City is seeking a Senior Lead Software Engineer to join the Consumer and Community Banking Connected Commerce team. You will guide an agile squad, design scalable backend services, and deliver trusted, market-leading technology products with a focus on security and reliability.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience.
• Experience leading technologists to manage and solve complex technical items with Java 21 and RESTful backends using Spring Boot.
• Experience designing high-throughput, low-latency data pipelines with Kafka, KSQL, and Kafka Streams.
• Proficiency in SQL and NoSQL databases such as Oracle, Postgres, Cassandra, etc.
• Experience in designing, building, and maintaining API services with Microservices and Domain-Driven Design.
• Experience with Terraform to provision AWS cloud services and knowledge of AWS EKS, EC2, ECS, EventBridge, Lambda, Route53, and S3.
• Advanced knowledge of software applications and technical processes in cloud/AI/mobile domains.
• Ability to tackle design and functionality problems independently with little supervision.
• Practical cloud-native experience in a banking/digital wallet context is a plus.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience


• Experience leading technologists to manage and solve complex technical items within your domain of expertise with development experience in Java 21 with building RESTful backend applications using Spring Boot


• Experience in designing, building and maintaining high-thought put low latency data pipelines using Apache Kafka, KSQL and Kafka Streams


• Proficiency in SQL and NoSQL databases such as Oracle, Postgres, Cassandra, etc.


• Experience in designing, building, and maintaining API services, with knowledge of Microservices with Domain Driven DesignPatterns


• Experience working with tools like Terraform to provision AWS cloud services


• Experience with AWS EKS, AWS EC2, AWS ECS, EventBridge, Lambda, Route53, and AWS S3


• Advanced knowledge of software applications and technical processes with considerable in-depth knowledge in one or more technical disciplines (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)


• Ability to tackle design and functionality problems independently with little to no oversight


• Practical cloud native experience


• Experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field
