Job summary

JPMorgan Chase in Jersey City seeks a Senior Lead Software Engineer to design and deliver trusted market-leading tech products within Markets Technology. You will own critical solutions, drive architecture decisions, and lead a team to build secure, scalable systems in a fast-paced agile environment.

You will leverage Java, Spring Boot, microservices, RESTful services, ReactJS, and cloud-native AWS, while adopting AI-assisted tools to boost productivity and quality.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience in senior or lead roles.
• Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Advanced in one or more programming language(s) Java
• Good experience in cloud-native foundations AWS
• Advanced experience in application development (Java, Spring Boot, databases and cloud-native foundations AWS)
• Proven experience with Micro services and RESTful Web services
• Advanced knowledge of software applications and technical processes with considerable in-depth knowledge in one or more technical disciplines (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)
• Ability to tackle design and functionality problems independently with little to no oversight
• Knowledge of frontend UI frameworks such as ReactJS
• Proficiency with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, or similar platforms to accelerate development and improve code quality
• Demonstrated ability to maintain, troubleshoot, and enhance existing systems while ensuring minimal disruption to business operations
