Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. seeks a Senior Lead Security Engineer within the Cyber Technology & Controls group. You will join an agile team delivering security‑driven software to prevent misuse, with multi‑domain expertise spanning cloud, AI/ML, and secure SDLC practices.

You will validate AI‑assisted outputs and drive risk‑based decisions across stakeholders. The role emphasizes building scalable security solutions, leading threat modeling, and applying rigorous validation to protect sensitive data

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on security engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience.
• Skilled in planning, designing, and implementing enterprise level security solutions.
• Experience using enterprise AI capabilities to support security workflows with validation.
• Ability to review and validate AI-assisted security recommendations for safety and auditability.
• Advanced in one or more programming languages with independent problem solving.
• Advanced knowledge of software development and security in cloud/AI contexts.
• Extensive experience with threat modeling, discovery, vulnerability, and penetration testing.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates security requirements clarification for multiple networks to enable networks with multi-level security to satisfy organizational needs
• Uses enterprise-authorized AI capabilities within the work environment to accelerate security risk analysis and documentation (e.g., synthesizing threat assessments), validating outputs and ensuring sensitive data is handled appropriately.
• Works with stakeholders and senior business leaders to recommend business modifications during periods of vulnerability
• Responsible for triaging based on risk assessments of various threats and managing resources to cover impact of disruptive events
• Applies reuse-first, AI-assisted practices within SDLC/toolchain routines to strengthen security testing and control validation, ensuring traceability/auditability and alignment to resiliency and security expectations.

• Advanced in one or more programming language(s) with ability to tackle design and functionality problems independently with little to no oversight
• Advanced knowledge of software application development and technical processes with considerable in-depth knowledge in one or more technical disciplines (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)
• Extensive experience with threat modeling, discovery, vulnerability, and penetration testing
