Job summary

NextGenEnergyJobs seeks an experienced Transmission Planning Engineer for a hybrid work role focused on expanding the PJM transmission plan. You will leverage your PJM reliability criteria experience, power system analysis skills, and programming ability to develop analytical and automation tools to support planning functions.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Electrical Engineering with 5+ years in PJM-related analysis, and familiarity with PSS/e or PowerGEM tools.

Job description

Flexible Work Arrangement: Hybrid The transmission planning department is responsible for the development of transmission expansion plan in the PJM interconnection.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent work experience
• Ability to produce high-quality work products with attention to detail
• Experience in quantitative and qualitative power system analysis
• Ability to use mathematical and electrical theory
• Ability to troubleshoot and provide technical support
• MS, Engineering
• Experience with PJM operations, markets, and planning functions
• At least 5 years of experience with PJM reliability criteria testing methodologies
• At least 5 years of experience in program development of analytical and automation tools for enhanced reliability criteria testing and screening
