Job summary

Constellation Home is seeking a Senior Residential Plumbing Service Journeyman to install, maintain, and repair residential plumbing systems. You will diagnose complex issues, provide high-quality workmanship, and guide customers through recommended repairs and system improvements.

The role emphasizes safety, adherence to codes, and delivering exceptional customer service while supporting Constellation's energy services portfolio and community-focused mission.

Qualifications

• Journeyman Plumbing license.
• Advanced knowledge of residential plumbing service, including local codes, tools and materials.
• Experience with hot water and steam boilers.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, install, repair, and replace pipes, fittings, and plumbing fixtures to maintain water supply and waste disposal systems.
• Diagnose plumbing problems and work to resolve them efficiently.
• Operate tools and equipment such as pipe cutters, reamers, threading machines, and welding equipment.
• Maintain an accurate record of parts used for repairs and maintenance.
• Provide rough estimates to customers for repair costs.
• Promote other Constellation Home services to customers.
• Ensure safety regulations and codes during installation and repair.
• Deliver professional customer service and explain findings and recommended repairs.

Expected hourly range of $33.92 to $41.46, varies based on experience, along with comprehensive benefits package that includes bonus and 401(k). In addition to your hourly wage, this role has additional earning potential through voluntary overtime and task work opportunities dependent on business need. This role has earning potential of $100,00 per year in total compensation.

Primary Purpose Of Position

This position is to deliver installation, maintenance, and repair services for residential plumbing systems. This role supports business operations by diagnosing and resolving complex plumbing issues, executing high-quality workmanship, and providing professional guidance to customers. The Senior Plumbing Service Journeyman ensures reliability of critical plumbing infrastructure while upholding safety standards, regulatory requirements, and exceptional customer service.

Primary Duties And Accountabilities

• Inspect, install, repair, and replace pipes, fittings, and plumbing fixtures to maintain the water supply and waste disposal systems.
• Diagnose plumbing problems and work to resolve them efficiently.
• Operate various tools and equipment such as pipe cutters, reamers, threading machines, and welding equipment.
• Maintain an accurate record of all items/parts used to repair, replace, or maintain plumbing fixtures and piping.
• Provide rough estimates to customers on how much it will cost to repair damaged or malfunctioning fixtures or piping.
• Promote the sale of other services offered by Constellation Home to customers.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and applicable electrical and plumbing requirements during installation and repair, identifying and correcting issues as needed.
• Deliver professional customer service to customers. Clearly explain findings, recommended repairs, and system improvements to support informed decision-making.

Minimum Qualifications

• Journeyman Plumbing license
• Demonstrated advanced knowledge of residential plumbing service, including local plumbing and gas codes, tools, and materials
• Advanced skills in the servicing of hot water and steam boilers
• Advanced ability in the usage of sewer cleaning machines
• Proven ability to deliver excellent customer service
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including written and verbal
• Ability to work weekends, holidays, and overtime
• Average physical ability (bending, stopping, and climbing ladders)
• Ability to lift and carry objects of various weights
• Ability to work independently, collaboratively with minimal supervision
• Eligibility to meet Company driving standards, including possession of a valid driver's license
• 5-years of work experience in Plumbing OR
• 4-years of work experience in Plumbing and 1-year related experience

Preferred Qualifications

Valid gas fitter's license
