Job summary

EGB Systems & Solutions Inc is seeking an experienced Java Developer in New York, NY to design and maintain Java applications. The ideal candidate will have over 8 years of Java J2EE experience with complex applications and a strong grasp of object-oriented design.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in Java J2EE with complex multi-layer applications.
• Strong knowledge of Swing, EJB, Spring/Hibernate, SQL, and relevant UI frameworks.
• Excellent object-oriented design and programming skills.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Work within a technically strong team to design and build new systems as well as support and enhance current systems
• Develop and maintain architecturally sound, modular, component-driven Java applications
• Create, maintain and organize system & design documentation, test plans, etc.

Qualifications

Experience required:

• 8+ years Java J2EE with complex multi-layer applications
• Strong working knowledge of Swing and EJB
• Working knowledge on Spring/Hibernate
• Working knowledge of an appropriate UI framework (jQuery, AngularJS, etc) would be added advantage
• Strong working knowledge of SQL
• Excellent object-oriented design & programming skills, including working knowledge and experience in using UML and design patterns
• Experience with IDE’s such as IntelliJ or Eclipse, and tools such CVS/Maven, etc

• Very strong communication and critical thinking skills.
• Solid foundation in trouble-shooting application and data issues
• Self-starter with the ability to multi-task and assess priority.
• Ability to fit into a team-orientated environment with a positive influence
