Job summary

Plymouth Rock Assurance is seeking a Sr. Java Developer in the Greater Boston area. The ideal candidate will contribute to full-stack Java/J2EE development, work with Spring and Spring Boot, and leverage AWS, REST/SOAP services, SQL/DB2, and modern persistence frameworks.

You will collaborate with stakeholders and mentor junior developers. On-site interview and proximity to Boston preferred. Candidates must be within 1 hour of Boston; a face-to-face interview is required.

Qualifications

• 6–8+ years of hands-on Java/J2EE full-stack development.
• Strong experience with Java 8+, Spring, Spring Boot.
• AWS, REST/SOAP Web Services.
• SQL, XML, DB2.
• JUnit, Hibernate/MyBatis, WebSphere/JBOSS.
• Experience with application architecture, design patterns, and scalable systems.
• Strong SDLC, production support, testing, and deployment experience.
• Ability to work with business stakeholders and mentor junior developers.
