Job Description

blueStone Recruiting is currently seeking a Sr. Java Architect with strong multithreading and Java Collections API experience. This position will oversee implementation of projects based on design recommendations aligned with enterprise architecture direction that supports long‑term IT organization strategy. It will involve component‑based architecture, development methodologies, facilitation skills, multi‑platform application design, systems design, requirements/interface design and analysis, project planning, estimating, tracking, and change management. The role will also provide design recommendations for enterprise‑level applications and custom integration solutions, including major enhancements and interfaces, functions, and features.

Qualifications

• Skilled in providing design recommendations based on long‑term IT organization strategy
• Strong hands‑on core Java and J2EE experience
• Significant experience with Spring framework and high‑volume, high‑concurrency applications
• Skilled with MQ, CTG, and tools such as Akka are preferable
• Strong understanding of client‑side unit & integration testing approaches
• Well versed in developing enterprise‑level applications and custom integration solutions, including major enhancements and interfaces, functions, and features
• Expert level knowledge and understanding of architecture, application systems design, and integration
• Ability to determine specifications, then plan, design, and develop the most complex and business‑critical software solutions, using appropriate software engineering processes either individually or in concert with a project team
• Experience using a variety of platforms to provide automated systems applications to customers
• Proven experience playing a lead role on application teams
• Ability to provide expertise regarding the integration of applications across the business
