Job summary

Republic Airways seeks an Information Security professional to manage and monitor security systems and to review, recommend, configure and implement security solutions across the company.

You will work with IT and operations to protect data, respond to incidents, and ensure compliance with security policies and procedures. Travel up to 10% may be required.

Qualifications

• Specialty IT training or equivalent education/experience.
• At least 3 years in information security or IT networking.
• Bachelor's degree in IT preferred; 5+ years preferred; security certifications listed.

Responsibilities

• Administers information security hardware and software daily (IDS/IPS, firewalls, encryption, anti-virus, logs).
• Handles escalated security issues.
• Maintains security infrastructure using industry best practices.
• Tests computer systems to monitor security effectiveness.
• Analyzes threats, requests and audit findings; provides remediation recommendations.
• Partners with end-users to enforce information security policies.
• Collaborates with external vendors to resolve issues/incidents.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education

Specialty training beyond high school in Information Technology, Computer Science or the equivalent combination of education and experience.

At least 3 years related information security and/or IT networking experience.

Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) in Information Technology.

At least 5 years related Information Security and/or IT networking experience.

Certification in GSEC, CCNA/NP/DA, Any SANS Certification and/or CISSP.

POSITION PURPOSE

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

• Performs daily administration of information security hardware and software such as intrusion detection/intrusion prevention, firewalls, encryption, anti-virus, log reviews and other software or appliances.

• Performs tests of computer systems to monitor effectiveness of security systems.
• Analyzes information security threats, requests and audit findings. Provides recommendations to resolve issues and/or findings.
• Partners with end-users to understand and adhere to information security policies and procedures.
• Collaborates with external vendors and partners as necessary to resolve issues/incidents.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
