Job summary

Integrated DNA Technologies (IDT) is seeking a senior GRC professional to lead IT general controls, vendor risk assessment, and audit readiness. You will maintain policy documents, coordinate DR planning, and support diverse compliance programs across SOX, PCI, HIPAA, and GDPR.

The role involves collaboration with audit teams, facilitating CAB decisions, and mentoring junior staff while enabling a remote-friendly working model within a global biotech environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree required; 7+ years on a GRC team or related technical discipline.
  • Experience with Change Management and CAB participation.
  • 5+ years in User Access Management or access governance.
  • Experience with compliance standards (SOX, PCI, HIPAA, GDPR) and internal/external audits.

Responsibilities

  • Lead IT General Controls execution across key domains (e.g., user access management and CAB) with audit-ready evidence.
  • Maintain IT-GRC policies, procedures, and documentation; coordinate updates with policy owners.
  • Lead Vendor Management / Third-Party Risk Assessment (TPRA) activities and annual reviews; coordinate questionnaires/assessments from stakeholders.
  • Coordinate and manage Disaster Recovery activities; plan, execute, document outcomes, identify gaps, and drive remedial actions.
  • Prepare for and support internal and external audits; present risk, compliance, audit, and remediation status to senior stakeholders.
  • Provide peer-to-peer support across IT and the business; train and coach junior team members.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Lead IT General Controls execution across key domains (e.g., user access management and change management/CAB participation) to ensure controls are designed, operating effectively, and supported by audit-ready evidence.
  • Maintain IT-GRC policies, procedures, and documentation; coordinate updates with external policy owners.
  • Lead Vendor Management / Third-Party Risk Assessment (TPRA) activities and annual reviews; coordinate completion of customer questionnaires/assessments by synthesizing inputs from technical and business stakeholders.
  • Coordinate and manage Disaster Recovery activities with internal and external teams, including planning, execution support, documentation of outcomes, and identification of gaps and lead RCA/root cause analysis for business-impacting events, defining corrective actions and tracking remediation to completion.
  • Prepare for and support internal and external audits, and present risk, compliance, audit, and remediation status/results to senior stakeholder groups; escalation issues and propose solutions as needed.
  • Provide peer-to-peer support across IT and the business; train and coach junior team members to build team capability and consistency.
Requirements

The essential requirements of the job include Bachelor’s Degree required 7 + years working on a GRC Team or related technical discipline Experience working or supporting Change Management and participation in a Change Advisory Board (CAB). 5 or more years of experience working in or supporting User Access Management. At least 5 years experience working with various compliance / governance standards in SOX, PCI, HIPAA, GDPR, General Compliance and supporting internal / external audits.

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements

Travel required, up to 10% of the time.

Preferred Experience
  • Creating / developing programs to bridge or eliminate gaps within the organization.
  • Utilizing continuous improvement methods and frameworks to identify areas of improvement and create opportunities for efficiency in GRC.
  • Assisting in / supporting Third-Party Risk Management activities related to risk assessments and compliance-gap analysis.

Salary and Compensation

The annual salary range OR the hourly range for this role is $117,000 -155,000 USD / Annually. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future. This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay. We offer comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance and 401(k) to eligible employees. Note: No amount of pay is considered to be wages or compensation until such amount is earned, vested, and determinable. The amount and availability of any bonus, commission, benefits, or any other form of compensation and benefits that are allocable to a particular employee remains in the Company's sole discretion unless and until paid and may be modified at the Company’s sole discretion, consistent with the law.
