Job summary

RWE Americas, LLC is seeking a Senior Inventory Control Specialist in Nevada to safeguard master data accuracy, ensure correct parts availability, and assist site operations with warranty claims. You will manage purchases, stock movements, and KPI reporting across responsible sites.

The role requires SAP MM proficiency, at least 1 year in material management, and willingness to travel. Strong communication, safety mindset, and the ability to work with minimal supervision are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of material management experience in SAP MM or similar system.
• High School diploma required; Associates or higher preferred.
• Ability to work across multiple sites and travel 5–10 weeks/year.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; safety-focused.
• Familiar with MS Office; forklift and CPR/first aid knowledge a plus.

Responsibilities

• Create purchase requisitions for site and operations materials.
• Perform inventory movements in SAP and track bin locations.
• Support multiple sites and conduct quarterly counts.
• Analyze usage, adjust MRP with operations input to optimize stock.
• Manage warranty claims and liaise between OEM and site ops.
• Prepare inventory and logistics reports in SAP; shipping/receiving duties.

This role falls under the Operations organization through an Inventory Control Supervisor. The Senior Inventory Control Specialist will be responsible for the master data accuracy supporting the inventory, ensuring the right part is available at the time, and assisting site operations with managing warranty claims.

Role Responsibilities:

• Create Purchase Requisitions for all goods needed for site and Balance of Plan (BOP) operations and maintenances in region
• Perform all inventory movements in SAP
• Ability to support multiple sites with minimal assistance
• Perform Quarterly counts and maintain accurate inventory level percentages
• Analyzes product usage and adjusts MRP as appropriate with operations consent to optimize inventory levels
• Learn and utilize the Product Life Cycle Management process
• Demonstrate strong safety culture mindset
• Perform all shipping/receiving duties
• Review open orders from suppliers and communicate ship dates to necessary parties (risk report) while building relationships with external vendors
• Track serialized components and resolve discrepancies within inventory records
• Generate inventory and logistics reports using SAP
• Ensure accurate tracking and reconciliation of spare part inventory using SAP PM/MM
• Request new part creation and extensions as needed
• Support adequate record of all inventory levels at assigned locations in SAP MM and accurate bin locations
• Becomes familiar and remains current regarding the necessary parts and material for maintenances at responsible sites
• Performs daily/monthly inspections and observations at perspective site(s)
• Is a liaison between OEM and Site operations for sites under warranty
• Manages warranty claims for sites under warranty
• Works independently with occasional guidance
• All other duties assigned

Job Requirements and Experience:

• Minimum 1 year experience preferred in Material Management in SAP MM or similar maintenance system
• High School diploma required;Associates or higher in business or technical preferred
• Typical work hours are from 7-3:30 with potential to change dependent on workload
• Expected travel 5-10 Weeks of the year and you may be required to fill in at multiple (nearby) worksites
• Must be able to work in extreme temperatures
• Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills
• Candidates should be highly organized, detail-oriented, self-motivated, able to interact effectively and professionally with various levels of personnel and departments, vendors and able to thrive in a fast-paced deadline driven environment
• Safety- Promote safety for all at all times
• Initiative – Able to work with minimum supervision and make decisions for all issues related to his/her discipline(s) with limited and/or available information
• Technical/Functional Knowledge – Strong understanding of inventory processes, familiar with Excel and able to become certified and maintain the ability to operate a forklift and become CPR and first aid certified. Minimum intermediate Office Suite computer skills and knowledge
• Problem Solving – Ability to research and correct invoicing issues, inventory discrepancies, and goods issue/goods receipt, be able to follow prepared work instructions, sourcing other parts with the aid of procurement and engineering
• Flexibility – Adjust readily to changes in direction and work priorities while working efficiently to complete assigned tasks and achieve goals
