Job summary

Target's Planning and Inventory Management team seeks a Sr. Inventory Analyst for Apparel and Accessories to optimize product availability and profitability across stores and distribution nodes.

You will apply deep analytics to solve problems, monitor inventory health, and collaborate with Merchants, PIM Ops, Stores, and vendors. A four-year degree or equivalent experience and 2+ years in related fields are required.

Responsibilities

  • Drive inventory availability across all stores and nodes.
  • Utilize deep analytics to solve problems and improve KPIs.

  • Lead division-level strategies and implementation of processes.
  • Train and onboard division staff and drive cross-functional collaboration.

Job description

The pay range is $73,000.00 - $132,000.00

Pay is based on several factors which vary based on position. These include labor markets and in some instances may include education, work experience and certifications. Planning and Inventory Management

A role in Planning and Inventory Management means applying your specialized and well-informed point of view to what we buy, from whom, how much and where it needs to go from there. You’ll use the right combination of data and expertise to achieve the best possible product availability through proper inventory positioning. You’ll also focus on the efficient transportation of product around the world, while ensuring compliance with U.S. Customs regulations and achieving the best possible product availability through proper inventory positioning. You’ll not only establish and develop great relationships with our vendors to encourage on-time shipment and delivery to stores and ultimately guests, but you’ll also analyze transportation supplier capabilities and contracts for maximum speed, reliability and cost effectiveness.

Sr. Inventory Analyst Apparel and Accessories

As a Sr. Inventory Analyst Apparel and Accessories, you'll drive business strategies to deliver availability and profitable sales through efficient management of inventory. You will utilize deep analytics to solve problems and improve Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), leverage your experience to efficiently manage and allocate inventory across all stores and nodes, monitor inventory health and find opportunities for improvement. In addition to managing the business, your role will be a critical support partner to internal cross functional teams (Merchants, Planning & Inventory Management Operations (PIM Ops), Stores and GSCL) as well as key strategic vendor partners. In addition to driving guest reliability and inventory efficiency results at a department level, you will also have division level responsibilities including, but not limited to, training and onboarding for your division, creating and leading implementation of division level strategies, partnering across to drive and execute company level processes in your division, and championing change across your division. You’ll lead profit & efficiency initiatives for your division that require understanding of the drivers of operational expenses and influence stakeholders and merchandising processes & priorities to bring these to life.

This position will require in office presence in downtown Minneapolis Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday each week, while working from on home on Friday will be an option.
