  • Champion design quality from early visioning through to construction detailing.
  • Guide FF&E strategies, selections, and specifications in coordination with team members.
  • Present design ideas clearly and convincingly to clients and collaborators.
  • Manage all project phases: programming, schematic design, design development, construction documentation, and construction administration.
  • Coordinate with clients, consultants, and contractors to align schedules, budgets, and resourcing.
  • Ensure project deliverables meet G Alvarez Studio’s standards and contractual obligations.
  • Oversee documentation workflows in Revit, including coordination with technical team members.
  • Maintain weekly project status updates and track performance against key milestones.
  • Manage construction administration tasks as required by project scope.
  • Mentor and oversee junior designers and technical staff; conduct weekly design reviews ahead of principal sign-off.
  • Foster an inclusive, collaborative, and high-performance studio culture.
  • Uphold professional integrity, confidentiality, and operational excellence.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Interior Design or Architecture (required).
  • NCIDQ certification, AIA membership, or LEED/WELL accreditation is a strong plus.

  • Proficiency in Revit, SketchUp, Enscape, and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Deep understanding of materials, furniture, lighting, and finish specification workflows.
