Job summary

McKesson is seeking a Sr. Associate Software Engineer with software development experience and an interest in Identity and Access Management (IAM) to help build, integrate, and maintain secure authentication and authorization capabilities across CoverMyMeds' platforms.

This role is part of a core IAM platform team responsible for end-user identity, federated authentication, and authentication infrastructure supporting web applications.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of relevant software development experience.
• Experience with identity platforms (Okta, Auth0, Ping Identity, Entra ID).
• Experience implementing authentication/authorization using OIDC, OAuth 2.0, or SAML.
• Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, Ruby, Python, or C#.
• Ability to work with guidance in a Kanban environment.
• Strong communication and collaboration with Security, Product, and engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain authentication and authorization capabilities (OIDC/OAuth 2.0/SAML).
• Integrate applications with identity platforms (Okta, Auth0, Ping Identity, Entra ID).
• Implement SSO, MFA, federated authentication, session management, and secure token handling.
• Contribute to login gateways, authorization middleware, and access policy enforcement.
• Support SMART on FHIR OAuth 2.0 use cases.
• Troubleshoot authentication/authorization and integration issues.
• Follow identity architecture and security standards.
