Job summary

Honeywell Technologies seeks a senior HSE leader to drive health, safety, and environmental programs across our Houston-based operations. You will guide a diverse team of professionals, implement robust safety policies, and ensure compliance with all regulations while promoting a culture of proactive risk management.

You will partner with cross-functional leaders to align HSE objectives with business goals, oversee training, audits, and budget planning, and advance sustainability initiatives

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience in HSE engineering.
  • 6+ years of leadership and direct team management skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations and best practices.
  • Proficiency in budget management and financial acumen.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and strategic planning abilities.
  • Certification in HSE or related field is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement HSE strategies aligned with the company mission.
  • Lead and manage a team of HSE professionals and engineers.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations and permits.
  • Stay updated on regulatory changes and industry best practices.
  • Create proactive safety measures, training, and policies to prevent incidents.
  • Conduct risk assessments and safety audits to identify hazards.
  • Develop emergency response plans for HSE incidents.
  • Manage the HSE budget and allocate resources effectively.
  • Promote environmental sustainability and minimize operational impact.
  • Establish quality standards and perform regular HSE inspections and reviews.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement comprehensive HSE strategies that align with the organizations mission, ensuring a culture of safety, health, and environmental responsibility
  • Lead and manage a team of HSE professionals, including engineers, specialists, and support staff, ensuring efficient and effective HSE engineering practices
  • Ensure that the organization complies with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations, permits, and certifications
  • Stay updated on changing regulations and industry best practices
  • Develop and implement proactive safety measures, training, and policies to prevent accidents, injuries, and occupational illnesses in the workplace
  • Conduct risk assessments and safety audits to identify and mitigate potential hazards, providing engineering solutions and preventive measures
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive emergency response plans for HSErelated incidents, including accidents and environmental emergencies
  • Develop and manage the HSE budget, allocate resources, and seek cost-effective solutions to maintain high standards of health, safety, and environmental protection
  • Promote environmental sustainability by implementing ecofriendly practices and minimizing the environmental impact of the organizations operations
  • Establish and enforce quality control standards in HSE engineering, conducting regular inspections and performance assessments
  • Collaborate with various internal departments, senior management, and external stakeholders to ensure effective communication, training, and education on HSE matters
Qualifications
YOU MUST HAVE
  • 6+ years of experience in HSE Engineering
  • 6+ years of leadership and direct team management skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations and best practices.
  • Proficiency in budget management and financial acumen.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and strategic planning abilities.
  • Certification in HSE or a related field is a plus
