Job summary

A2E Technologies 1 is seeking a Sr. Hardware Engineer for a Perm/Long-Term Contractor role in San Diego. The ideal candidate will lead bring-up activities and design high-speed digital boards (>10 GHz) featuring DDR, FPGAs, and networking.

Proficiency in Altium schematic capture is required, with EMC mitigation and testing experience. SI and PI simulations are expected, with some FPGA design experience a plus.

Qualifications

• Extensive bring-up experience on hardware systems.
• Experience designing high-speed digital boards (>10 GHz) with DDR, FPGAs, networking.
• Proficient in Altium schematic capture.
• EMC mitigation techniques and testing experience.
• Signal Integrity simulations experience.
• Power Integrity simulations experience (a plus).
• Some FPGA design experience and toolsets (a plus).

Responsibilities

• Design and bring-up high-speed digital boards (>10 GHz) including DDR, FPGAs and networking.
• Collaborate across teams to ensure robust hardware solutions.
• Perform EMC mitigation and testing to meet specs.
• Conduct Signal Integrity and Power Integrity simulations; iterate with design teams.
