Job Description

General Responsibilities:

Provide engineering and consulting services for a broad array of projects and clients. This includes performing and leading field investigations, engineering analysis, calculations, recommendations, design and development of plans and specifications, observation and inspection, and report writing. Review drawings and construction to ensure compliance with plans and specifications. Prepare proposals and cost estimates, track project progress and budgets, and recommend changes. Research and resolve design and construction problems. Analyze laboratory or field data for reports. Communicate complex engineering issues to technical and non-technical clients. Services may be provided across various sectors such as public works, transportation, commercial, communications, energy, and industrial.

Essential Roles and Responsibilities:

• Lead safety efforts and promote a safe work environment.
• Monitor and improve project quality standards.
• Ensure consistent quality in project and proposal delivery.
• Understand project-related risks and adhere to company risk policies.
• Provide technical direction for routine and complex projects.
• Conceptualize initial designs and oversee engineering work on projects of moderate scope.
• Plan, schedule, and coordinate engineering tasks, including complex features.
• Review projects requiring innovative investigation techniques and supervise analysis and reporting.
• Lead technical training and make informed decisions on technology issues.
• Lead marketing, sales, and business development efforts.
• Supervise less experienced engineers or technical staff.
• Serve as an Authorized Project Reviewer.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• 8-11 years of experience.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable violations.
• PE registration.
• Authorized Project Reviewer status required.

Preferred Certification:

• Authorized Project Reviewer status preferred.
