Qualifications

• Requires B.S. in CS/Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Proficient in Java/JEE, Spring & Spring Boot.
• Experience with Oracle/PL-SQL, JPA/Hibernate or Spring Repositories.
• Strong RESTful API and Web Services experience.
• Frontend HTML5/CSS3 and automated testing; Git and CI tools.
• Familiarity with Agile tools (Rally/JIRA/RTC).
• Hands-on with AI dev tools (Copilot, Claude) to accelerate delivery and improve security.

Responsibilities

• Support ADP's Insurance Services scrum teams in a Sr. Application Developer role.
• Operate in a 50/50 front-end/back-end capacity across Java integrations and React/Angular front ends.
• Contribute to security-hardening and performance improvements in AI-assisted development.

Sr. Full Stack Java Developer (Java/React) – Security & GenAI Focus

We're hiring for a Sr. Application Developer supporting ADP's Insurance Services scrum teams. This is a 50/50 front-end/back-end role — you'll rotate across teams based on need (Java integrations, React front ends, etc.), so versatility matters more than depth in just one stack.

Top priorities for this role:

Security-first mindset — this is a security-heavy codebase; experience identifying and hardening against vulnerabilities is key

GenAI-assisted development — team uses GitHub Copilot primarily, some Claude; Amazon Q or Kiro experience also welcome

Full-stack flexibility — Java/Spring Boot on the back end, Angular/React on the front end

Must-haves:

• B.S. in CS/Engineering or equivalent experience
• Java/JEE, Spring & Spring Boot
• Oracle / PL-SQL, JPA/Hibernate or Spring Repositories
• RESTful APIs & Web Services (requirements-driving experience)
• HTML5/CSS3, automated testing, Git, Jenkins/CI
• Agile tools (Rally/JIRA/RTC)
• Hands-on experience integrating AI dev tools (Copilot, Claude, etc.) to speed delivery, generate tests, and improve code review — plus the ability to critically refactor/harden AI-generated code for security & performance
