Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Senior Full Stack Java & Azure Engineer to design and deliver secure, scalable cloud-native applications. You will collaborate with product, architecture, security, QE, DevOps, and operations teams to build modern software and enforce strong engineering practices.

This remote role is open to qualified applicants in the United States, with a base annual salary range of $93,000 to $109,000, plus Cognizant's discretionary incentives.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, with strong full-stack development experience across modern web applications, APIs, data stores, and distributed systems.
• Strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, API development, and cloud-native application design.
• Experience designing secure, maintainable, and testable software using object-oriented principles, design patterns, and API-first approaches.
• Experience building cloud-native, containerized, and event-driven solutions, including asynchronous integrations.
• Strong DevSecOps experience across CI/CD, automated testing, code quality, dependency and security scanning, source control, and deployment controls.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure, infrastructure as code, cloud configuration, secrets management, and environment promotion strategies.
• Strong troubleshooting and observability skills across applications, integrations, data, pipelines, and cloud platforms.
• Ability to provide technical guidance, conduct code reviews, mentor engineers, and collaborate effectively across product, architecture, security, QE, DevOps, and operations teams.

Responsibilities

About the role

As a Senior Full Stack Java & Azure Engineer, you will make an impact by designing and delivering secure, scalable, and maintainable cloud-native applications. • Experience establishing reusable engineering patterns, standards, automated controls, and deployment practices.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor engineers and provide technical leadership across cross-functional teams.

The annual salary for this position will be in the range of $93,000 - $109,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
