Job summary

Strategic Education, Inc. seeks a Sr. Full Stack Engineer to design, develop, test and deploy mission-critical applications for SEI. You will convert complex specs into scalable software across all tiers using OO patterns and agile methods.

You will collaborate with business analysts and users to implement technology solutions, drive automated builds, and participate in releases and QA planning in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Five plus (5+) years experience in web application design, development, and implementation.
• Five plus (5+) years experience with Ruby, JavaScript, Responsive Web Design
• 2 plus (2+) years of working with AWS Infrastructure

Sophia is an industry-leading provider of low-cost, self-paced online general education courses that are transferable for college credit.

As a Sr. Full Stack Engineer, you will play a pivotal role responsible for the application design, development, testing and deployment of mission critical applications for SEI.

The Sr. Full Stack Engineer is responsible for the design and development of modifications to our custom developed Sophia application. This person will work closely with business analysts, key users, and the project team to assess business needs and determine/implement technology solutions using an agile methodology.

This person must have skills in converting specifications and procedures of moderate to high complexity into application and software solutions. This person will also have experience developing in all tiers of an application and must possess knowledge of object-oriented programming techniques and patterns and how to apply them in variety application environments.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Education:
