Job summary

Adobe Inc. in New York seeks a dynamic full-stack developer proficient in backend technologies to design, develop, and maintain scalable applications accelerating design workflows.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Elixir, NodeJS and ReactJS.
• 7+ years of software development experience.
• Experience with Redux, Redux Saga, and WebAssembly is a plus.
• Experience defining APIs and integrating them using RESTful or GraphQL.
• Solid fundamentals in design, algorithms, data structures, testing, and documentation.
• Familiarity with AI-forward tooling and modern dev practices.

The Opportunity

We're seeking a dynamic full-stack developer with proficiency in backend technologies and a fervor for building scalable systems. As part of our team, you will be pivotal in designing, developing, and maintaining groundbreaking applications. You will gain experience working as part of a team dedicated to helping to accelerate workflows in design.

What you'll do

• Build end-to-end solutions using ReactJS and similar frontend frameworks as well as using Elixir or NodeJS for backend requirements.
• Develop backend services, define schemas, data flow pipeline to enable scalable solutions.
• Participate as a part of the engineering team's rotation for being on-call to mitigate service disruptions.
• Contribute in the analysis, design, prototype and implementation of new services/features and improving existing ones.
• Work in cross-functional teams to ensure superb end-to-end user experience for customers.
• Be a proactive self-starter and fast learner who can develop methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
• Be committed to best practices in software development: design, testing, version control, documentation, build, deployment, and operation.
• Respond, troubleshoot, and support production systems, performance, reliability, and scalability issues.
• Perform your own pre-deployment QA and build and implement comprehensive unit tests for confirming functionality and performance of new code.

We're looking for

• Proficiency in Elixir, NodeJS and ReactJS is required.
• At least 7+ years of software development experience, preferably in product development.
• Additional experience with client-side tools like Redux, Redux Saga, and WebAssembly, as well as infrastructure/platform technologies such as Docker, Terraform, and Kubernetes is preferred.
• Experience defining APIs and integrating them into web applications using RESTful and GraphQL approaches.
• Knowledge of software fundamentals including design principles & analysis of algorithms, data structure design, implementation, documentation, and unit testing and the acumen to apply them.
• Comfortable working in an AI-forward engineering environment where tools such as LLM-based coding assistants, automation workflows, and emerging AI technologies are part of the day-to-day development process.
