Job summary

The role requires a TS/SCI clearance, 10+ years of experience, and strong full stack capabilities across NextJS and SQL. You will join an Agile team delivering secure, scalable software.

Sr. Full Stack Developer

Join a mission-critical software development team building browser-based applications in support of the agency's cybersecurity risk management practice. We are leveraging a modern tech stack deployed in the Amazon cloud, including React/NodeJS, NextJS, python, Docker, SQL Server, and AWS services including Lambda, Glue, Redshift, RDS, EC2, and S3.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain modern/responsive web apps primarily using NextJS
• Implement all required back-end SQL data modeling required to ensure a seamless user experience.
• Integrate front-end components with back-end database collateral using RESTful APIs.
• Participate in Agile development cycles, sprint planning, and code reviews.
• Participate in troubleshooting and support bug fix prioritization.
• Ensure accessibility, performance, and usability best practices are followed.

Skills/Qualifications:

• Active TS/SCI clearance.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or related field.
• 10+ years of professional experience.
• Strong full stack coder, with subject-matter expertise across all relevant technologies.
• Experience with Docker and cloud-based environments, preferably AWS.
• Demonstrated ability in translating customer requirements into code.
• Strong testing, debugging, and troubleshooting skills.
• Self-starting, with established project leadership skills.
• Experience working in an Agile sprint-based development pattern.
• Excellent team player, willing to pitch in as needed to ensure program success.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity concepts, including FISMA RMF familiarity.
• Experience building and supporting NextJS apps across whole app lifecycle.
• Solid SQL coding experience, ideally with Postgres, T-SQL, or Redshift.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong customer and user facing management skills.
