Job summary

Schwan's Company in Fullerton, CA is seeking a QA Specialist to monitor HACCP and GMP compliance, generate reports, verify product quality, and investigate food safety incidents. This full-time role offers multiple health plans, 401k, and other benefits.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED and 2+ years in food safety or QA, with SAP and InfinityQS proficiency and HACCP knowledge; opportunity for advancement in a growing food manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and 2+ years of relevant food safety or quality assurance experience.
• Proficient in SAP and InfinityQS (IQS) software for quality data management and reporting.
• Working knowledge of HACCP principles; USDA/FDA regulations awareness.

Responsibilities

• Monitor HACCP and GMP compliance; promptly report deviations to management.
• Generate and manage product specification reports and SAP transactions to place product on hold or release.
• Verify product quality by ensuring adherence to specifications and conducting traceability exercises to maintain regulatory compliance.
• Investigate and document food safety incidents; complete corrective actions and incident reports promptly.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to collect samples, support sensory evaluations, and review COA to maintain compliance.

Starting Pay: $25.50 - $28.50 per hour
Shift: 1st
Hours: 5:30 am to 2 pm

What You Will Do

• Monitor and enforce compliance with HACCP and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), promptly reporting deviations to management.
• Generate and manage product specification reports and process SAP transactions to place product on hold or release.
• Verify product quality by ensuring adherence to specifications and conducting traceability exercises to support product integrity.
• Investigate and document food safety incidents, completing corrective actions and incident reports accurately and in a timely manner.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to collect samples, support sensory evaluations, and review Certificates of Analysis to maintain regulatory and procedural compliance.

What You Will Bring

• High school diploma or GED and 2+ years of relevant food safety or quality assurance experience.
• Intermediate proficiency in SAP and InfinityQS (IQS) software for quality data management and reporting.
• Working knowledge of HACCP principles as applied to plant operations; HACCP certification preferred.
• Familiarity with USDA, FDA regulations and audit processes related to food safety and compliance.
• Ability to perform thorough investigations and documentation of product and ingredient food safety incidents, while working in various temperature environments.
