Job summary

Athletico is seeking an FP&A Analyst to provide analytics, insights, and support for strategic plans and growth opportunities. You will manage annual budgeting, monthly forecasts, and quarterly financial reporting while partnering with operations and finance leadership.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s in Business/Finance/Accounting, 3 years of FP&A or financial reporting experience, and strong Excel/PowerPoint skills; Power BI is a plus. Healthcare industry experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop initial budget and participate in annual budget and reforecast processes with operations.

• Prepare monthly financial reporting with data extraction and dashboards.
• Collaborate with FP&A team on high-profile deliverables and presentations.
• Review variance reports and present findings to finance management.
• Provide proforma analytics with Resource Center teams.
• Create forecasting reports and summarized actionable analyses.

Position Summary

Provide analytics, insights and support strategic plans and growth opportunities for Athletico while responsible for annual budgeting, monthly forecast, monthly and quarterly financial reporting, and market research.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Leverage budgeting templates and tools to develop initial budget in participation of the annual budget and reforecast processes. Work interactively with operations to finalize budget; prepare summary reports and communicate to finance leadership team.
• Ensure overall accuracy of planning and forecasting; review and diagnose variances to the plan and forecast.
• Analyze and develop insights related to key drivers of revenue and cost of revenue across platform to guide decision-making and forecasting.
• Preparation and review of monthly financial reporting including extracting and aggregating financial data; preparing summary spreadsheets, graphs and tables; evaluating performance metrics, and highlighting notable issues and trends.
• Work with FP&A team on high profile deliverables presented by Finance senior leadership team including high level presentations of financial trends and performance, major capital projects and other company initiatives.
• Perform detailed review of financial variance reports and identify any operational or performance concerns and the underlying drivers. Proactively present findings to finance management.
• Work collaboratively with Resource Center teams to determine reporting and analytic needs and assist with proforma analytics.
• Create forecasting reports and provide summarized actionable analysis for business decision- making.

Qualifications

• Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, FinanceorAccounting
• Work Experience:
  • 3 years of relevant experience in FP&A and/or financial reporting
  • Healthcare industry experience preferred
• Certification/Licensure:
  • Certified Public Accountant preferred
• Knowledge and Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint: efficient database sourcing, utilization of standard Excel functions (sumif/s, v/hlookup, index/match, indirect, pivot tables, data tables, filters) to aggregate and summarize data, creation of graphs in proper context of data presented, use of best practices for insuring data integrity, design of executive/board level presentation quality outputs.
  • Experience with Power BI a strongly preferred
  • Keen analytic, organization and problem solving skills which allows for strategic data interpretation

Language Skills

• Ability to read, write and speak English proficiently

Physical Demands

• Ability to fulfill office activities including but not limited to remain stationary for extended periods of time (i.e. while working at a desk), stoop/kneel/crouch, travel around the office, communicate with others (verbal and written), and use fine motor skills including fine hand manipulation and keyboarding.
• Ability to see at close range, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus

Work Environment

• Consistent with a standard office environment, noise level is low with little to no extraordinary environmental factors.
