Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Sr. Flight Software Engineer in the Greater Denver area to design, develop, and test software components for satellite mission programs and contribute to on-orbit servicing capabilities.

You will help define system and subsystem requirements, interfaces, and perform trade studies while rapidly prototyping software to validate concepts and support hardware-in-the-loop developments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/CE or related field.
• 8+ years of embedded software development experience.
• Proficient in embedded C/C++ or Rust.
• Experience with Python, Bash, Linux, Git and Docker.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test software components for satellite mission programs.
• Contribute to on-orbit servicing capabilities.
• Develop system-level definitions, interface definitions, requirements, and trade studies.

Additional responsibilities include contributing to software system level definition and concept of operations development, including system and subsystem requirements, interface definition, functional analysis & trade studies and rapidly prototype software to prove out design concepts and participate in developmetn of hardware-in-the-loop systems.

Skills and Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related fieldExperience with software/hardware integration8+ years of experience developing embedded C, C++ or RustExperience with Python, Bash, Linux, Git and/or DockerFamiliarity with modern CI/CD practicesFamiliarity with NASA CFS framework
