Job summary

Addvantage Credit Union Staffing is seeking a Sr. Financial Services Rep / Banker for a credit union in Chesapeake, VA. The role emphasizes client service, product education, and sales in a branch environment.

The position is full-time, temp-to-hire with compensation in the $21–$24/hour range and standard branch hours Monday through Saturday. Notary Public commission must be obtained within six months of hire.

Qualifications

• Experience in a bank or credit union is required to be considered.
• A bachelor’s degree in business management, finance, or a related field and a minimum of 1 year in a financial institution handling banking transaction and product sales and services.
• Or four years of experience in a financial institution with sales or service experience advising customers when choosing between options.

Responsibilities

• Provide members with impeccable service in person or over the phone in a branch setting.
• Educate members on credit union products and services and make referrals to internal partners.
• Sell financial products and services to members in person and over the phone.
• Process new accounts, IRAs, and various share types.
• Handle consumer loan products including personal, auto, and home equity lines of credit, and credit cards.
• Process all types of member transactions including balance inquiries and transfers.

We are currently seeking a Sr. Financial Services Rep / Banker for a credit union located in Chesapeake, VA! TOP EMPLOYER IN THE AREA!

Type: Full-time, temp-to-hire

Pay: $21 - 24/hr

Branch hours: Monday – Friday: 8:30am-5:00pm & Saturday 8:30-12:30

Responsibilities:

• In a branch setting, provides members and potential members with impeccable service in person or over the phone.
• Engagement and educating members on credit union products and services.
• Selling and offering financial products and services to members in person and over the phone.
• Processes new accounts, additional share types, and IRAs.
• Processes consumer loan products including personal, auto, home equity line of credit, and credit cards.
• Process all types of transactions for members, including balance inquiries, transfers, payments, loan advances, account opening, and all other requests.
• Educates members on products and services, making referrals to internal business partners.
• Operational responsibility including opening and closing procedures, when leadership is not present.
• Mentor and role model for all staff, providing on-site training.
• Provides security overrides to other staff.
• Assists other staff with escalated member situations.
• Works at other branch locations as needed.

Requirements:

• Experience in a bank or credit union is required to be considered!
• A bachelor’s degree in business management, finance, or a related field and a minimum or 1 year in a financial institution handling banking transaction and product sales and services
• or
• Four years of experience in a financial institution with sales or service experience advising customers when choosing between options, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
• Employees in this position are required to obtain and maintain a valid Notary Public commission within six (6) months of their hire date as a condition of continued employment.
