Job summary

GEO Group, Inc. is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst FP&A to deliver financial planning for the Health Services Team, develop pricing models, and support the financial close. This role requires building operational analyses and partnering with stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.

You will also develop Power BI solutions, provide actionable insights, and drive performance through detailed reporting and scenario analysis.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting.
  • 2–5 years of progressive FP&A experience.
  • Experience with ERP software, preferably Oracle Hyperion Planning/Essbase.
  • Advanced Power BI skills (Power Query, DAX, star-schema).
  • Strong business acumen and communication skills.
  • Ability to plan, prioritize, and execute tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Develop annual budget and quarterly forecasts for Health Services.
  • Partner with Health Services leaders to collect inputs and validate assumptions.
  • Build and maintain financial models for scenario analysis and decision making.
  • Analyze drivers of performance, risks, and opportunities.
  • Deliver KPI dashboards and business commentary to executives.
  • Create Power BI reports and maintain data modeling and dashboards.
  • Support pricing decisions, contracts, and operational initiatives.
  • Prepare monthly/quarterly/year-end financial performance reports.

Responsibilities

Summary: Under Finance leadership, the Senior Financial Analyst FP&A primarily provides financial support for the Health Services Team. The key functions of this role include developing operational analysis, leading all medical financial planning processes, supporting, and building pricing models, and supporting the financial close process. This position is dynamic and operates in a fast-paced environment partnering with different stakeholders within the Health Services Department.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
  • The Senior Financial Analyst, FP&A leads the development, consolidation, and analysis of annual budget and quarterly forecast planning.
  • Partners with Health Services leaders to collect key business inputs, validate assumptions, and ensure financial projection accuracy.
  • The Senior Financial Analyst, FP&A builds and maintain financial models that support scenario analysis and strategic decision making.
  • Analyze key drivers of operating performance to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • The Senior Financial Analyst, FP&A deliver executive-level reporting packages including KPI dashboards, financial summaries, and business commentary.
  • Develops and maintains Power BI reporting solutions, including data modeling, DAX development, Power Query transformations, dashboard creation, and Power BI Service administration.
  • Provides analytical support for pricing decisions, contract evaluations, and operational initiatives as requested.
  • Prepares monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial performance reports with clear insights, variance explanations, and actionable recommendations.
  • Performs other FP&A duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, or accounting. Master’s degree in business preferred.
  • Two to five (2-5) years of progressive experience in financial planning & analysis roles.
  • Experience working with ERP Software (Preferably Oracle Hyperion Planning/Essbase).
  • Advanced expertise in Power BI (Power Query, DAX, and star-schema architectures).
  • Strong business acumen to drive business performance and perform key analysis.
  • Ability to effectively communicate (written and orally) to all levels of the organization.
  • Strong understanding of budget & forecasting process.
  • Ability to plan for, prioritize, and execute work assignments utilizing self-discipline and motivation.
