Job Summary

Adventist Health White Memorial Montebello is seeking a Sr. Financial Analyst, Ambulatory for a full-time position working 8-hour day shifts. We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated individual who can work onsite at our Montebello, CA location. Supports system ambulatory financial strategy and optimization. Conducts ongoing consolidated performance reporting and variance analysis, and recommends solutions to address variances. Works collaboratively with leadership, business partners and other corporate functions to ensure annual operating plans are aligned and reflect the overall System goals.

Job Requirements

Education and Work Experience:

  • Associate’s/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Required
  • Bachelor's Degree: Preferred
  • Five years’ technical experience: Preferred
Essential Functions
  • Reviews and provides clarity on ambulatory operating budgets, including the analysis of prior year budgets/actuals and calculation of budget assumptions. Monitors budget throughout the year. Works on activities of a diverse scope and makes recommendations to management on areas of opportunity and efficiency. Performs a variety of complex duties requiring specialized or generalist knowledge. Makes recommendations on complex issues regarding work, often in ambiguous situations.
  • Reviews initial forecast, provides summary and makes updates based on actuals. Coordinates with leadership to finalize forecast and distribute. Collaborates with business partners on development of the annual forecast and develops greater visibility for future goals. Assists in developing course of action to respond to management report trends, ensuring long-range success. Prepares standard/routine financial management reports for the System, as dictated by reporting inventory.
  • Makes recommendations on new processes, tools and services. Supports and contributes to development of new products, services or techniques. Solves escalated operational problems and technical issues. Prioritizes own weekly schedule and may guide others in the completion of tasks within clearly defined schedules as set by leadership.
  • Maintains responsibility and accountability for performing financial analysis and performance tracking/analysis for system-wide initiatives. Collaborates with Ministry departments to perform Regional and Ministry analysis. Develops and ensures use of standard tools, templates and methodologies for financial analysis. Reports on System initiatives. Works under limited guidance and within broad guidelines and technical standards.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
