Job summary

Generous Brands, with strong operations in Southern California and Chicago, seeks a Finance professional to lead the Brand Finance function for its beverage portfolio. This role partners with R&D, Operations and Finance to forecast, budget and support strategic plans.

The position contributes to the monthly forecasting cycle, annual budgeting, and development of financial strategies. Proficiency in Excel and financial modeling is required to deliver actionable insights.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in financial planning & analysis, corporate finance, or related field.
• Strong Excel and financial modeling skills.
• Experience with ERP systems or financial planning tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly P&L actualization, variance analyses, insights and issue resolution.
• Support rolling 18-month forecasts and explain financial performance.

Job Description

The Brand Finance team is responsible for the full P&L for the Generous Brands beverage portfolio. This team member is a key link between the R&D, Operations, and Finance teams. This job contributes to Generous Brands success by supporting the development of monthly forecasting and reporting, annual budgets, and strategic financial plans.

Job Duties

Strategic Finance Leadership

• Execute the monthly actualization process including P&L variance analyses, insights, and issue resolution
• Support the monthly forecasting process, including projecting and explaining financial performance on a rolling 18 month basis
• Support the build of the annual budget and strategic plans
• Analyze complex financial data to identify trends, assess risks, and uncover opportunities, delivering actionable recommendations to business leaders
• Collaborate with R&D, operations and logistics teams to integrate financial insights into strategic decisions

Productivity & Growth Projects

• Partner with cross-functional teams to evaluate, model, and financialize savings initiatives around labor efficiencies, strategic sourcing, and equipment effectiveness
• Support financial analysis of productivity initiatives, quantifying potential savings and ROI to drive decision-making

Process Optimization

• Identifies key issues and weaknesses, provides solutions for improvement, and manages the implementation of system enhancements
• Manages cross-functional integration with the company business planning calendar
• Works with cross-functional teams to improve processes, set targets, develop plans, conduct analyses, and measure results

Required Skills And Abilities

• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
• Ability to balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to use and maintain complex financial models
• Knowledge of financial and management accounting principles

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
• 3–5 years of experience in financial planning & analysis, corporate finance, or related field

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting a CPG or manufacturing business
• Experience partnering cross-functionally with commercial and operations teams
• Familiarity with ERP systems and financial planning tools
• MBA or CPA a plus

HOURS & WORKDAYS

• Monday through Friday 8:00-5:00pm.
