Job summary

Voyager Technologies seeks a Senior Financial Analyst to partner with the Products portfolio team, shaping financial performance for defense and commercial contracts. You’ll work with Product Line leaders, program management, and executives to drive profitability and provide timely data for decisions.

You will deliver advanced analyses of EACs, forecasts, and risks, ensuring compliance with FAR/DFARS/CAS and GAAP in a high‑compliance environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 8+ years of progressive finance experience, with at least 3 years in aerospace, defense, or other government contracting environments.
  • Deep understanding of FAR, DFARS, CAS regulations, and contract types.
  • Advanced proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and financial modeling and forecasting (e.g. NetSuite, ForProject, MS Project).
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance (requires U.S. Citizenship)

Responsibilities

  • Act as the financial lead for assigned programs, directly supporting the LOB Manager with budgeting and performance management.
  • Lead the preparation and analysis of complex EACs for FFP and Cost Reimbursement contracts.
  • Drive monthly and annual budgeting, variance analysis, and long-range forecasts for the Line of Business.
  • Identify and mitigate risks, forecast impacts on costs and schedule, and identify opportunities.
  • Develop advanced Excel/Power BI dashboards to brief senior leadership on program health.
  • Ensure strict compliance with FAR, DFARS, CAS, and GAAP, passing audits.
  • Collaborate with Contracts/BD to develop cost proposals and analyses.

Position Description

As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will serve as the primary financial partner to the Products portfolio Business Manager, playing a pivotal role in shaping the financial performance of a fast-paced portfolio of defense and commercial contracts. This role will partner closely with Product Line VP/Directors, program management, operations, contracts, scheduling, EV management, and executive leadership to drive business performance, manage program profitability, and ensure accurate, timely financial data for decision-making. You will go beyond routine reporting, providing actionable insights into EACs, forecasts, and risks/opportunities to drive profitability. This position requires a strong grasp of FAR/CAS and ensuring compliance with U.S. Government regulations and company policies. The ideal candidate will bring deep experience in government contracting, cost accounting, and earned value management, along with proven leadership skills in a high-compliance environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Finance Partnering: Act as the financial lead for assigned programs, directly supporting the LOB Manager with daily financial strategy, budgeting, and performance management.
  • Estimate at Complete (EAC): Lead the preparation and analysis of complex Quarterly Estimates at Complete (EAC) for FFP and Cost Reimbursement contracts to ensure accurate revenue and profit recognition.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Drive the monthly and annual budgeting process, variance analysis (actuals vs. plan), and long-range forecasts for the Line of Business.
  • Risk & Opportunity Management: Identify, track, and mitigate execution risks, forecasting impacts on program cost and schedule while identifying potential financial opportunities.
  • Reporting & Data Analysis: Develop advanced Excel/Power BI dashboards to provide high-level briefings on program health to senior leadership.
  • Compliance Champion: Ensure strict compliance with FAR, DFARS, CAS, and GAAP, ensuring all financial activities pass internal/external audits.
  • Proposal Support: Collaborate with Contracts, Business Development, and Proposal Operations to develop cost proposals, pricing strategies, and business case analyses.

Salary Range: $125,000-$175,000 per year
