Job summary

Blue Canyon Technologies in Boulder, CO is seeking a Sr. Financial Analyst to track, analyze, and cost controls across multiple projects. You will work with Program Management and Engineering to ensure accurate measurement of costs and schedules, developing EACs and financial briefs.

The role includes leading EAC creation, supporting AOP/LRP forecasting, and driving streamlined processes for the Components business line. On-site work and competitive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of Finance experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Management or a related field.
  • Excel proficiency (Lookup/Index/Sum and pivots).
  • Ability to manage priorities to meet deadlines.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with cost and schedule controls, FP&A, or government contracting concepts.

Responsibilities

  • Development of quarterly EACs and analysis of ETC and LRE data.
  • Lead creation of 6+ EACs per quarter across multiple projects.
  • Gather and analyze operational, financial, and program performance metrics.
  • Collaborate with Program Manager and cross-functional peers to ensure accurate costs and schedules.
  • Provide PMO with detailed cost information and trace activity through ERP.
  • Assist with labor reporting, data extraction, reconciliation, and cost transfers.
  • Support AOP and LRP forecasting, proposals, and ROM pricing.
  • Help streamline business processes for the Components team.
  • Assist in organizing Work Breakdown Structures and job cost accumulation.
  • Monitor costs and labor to ensure actuals stay within budget.

Position Purpose

The Sr. Financial Analyst willbe responsible fortracking, analyzing and cost controls associated with multiple projects.We areseekinga hard-working, energetic, and dedicated individual to contribute to the overall success of our programs. Pay Range: $90,000 - $120,000

(Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)

On-site position at our Boulder, CO location (work locations are subject to change based on business need).

This role does not offer relocation assistance and is a fully onsite position

Job Responsibilities
  • Development of quarterly EACs; analysis/assist inaccurateprojection of Estimate to Complete (ETC), Estimate at Complete (EAC) and Latest Revised Estimate (LRE) data
  • May leadcreation of 6+ EACs per quarter, responsible for multiple projects at once as Financial Analyst lead
  • Gather and analyze operational, financial, and program performance metrics for Material, Subcontracts, and Labor for Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, Engineering Support to Production, and Integrated Product Teams.
  • Be an integral program team member working closely with Program Manager and other cross-functional peers, to ensure accurate measurement, control, and understanding of reported costs and schedules
  • Provide PMO with in-depth, transactional-level detail of costs, mustpossessknowledge of cost flow through ERP system to trace/explain activity through functional areas
  • Assistwith labor reporting, accounting data extraction and reconciliation,laborand cost transfer submittals
  • Finance support for AOP and LRP forecasting, proposals and ROM pricing exercises
  • Support creation of streamlined business processes for commercial Components business line
  • Assistwith organization of Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and job cost accumulation
  • Assistin monitoring costs and labor to ensure that actuals are within budget and charged to the correct end objective
  • Develop and present briefing of program financial status tointernal customers
  • Perform ad-hoc analysis, data integrity checks, and validations related to program financials
  • Working knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Other responsibilities as assigned
Required Qualifications/Education
  • 3+ years of Finance experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, BusinessManagementor a related field
  • Excelproficiency(to include Lookup/Index/Sum functions and pivot tables)
  • Ability to manage prioritiesin order tomeet deadlines
  • Possess good oral and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and work quality
  • Knowledge of concepts or experience with at least two of the following items:
    • Program cost and schedule controls, FP&A activities, and proposal support
    • Government contracting and FAR requirements.
    • Estimates at Completion (EAC's) or similar systems and tools
    • SAP, Business Warehouse, PMX, EDIT+ or similar systems
  • Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education
Working Conditions

This job operates in a professional office environment, but in a manufacturing company. This role uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, scanners, filing cabinets and fax machines. BCT anticipates the application window closing approximately 40 days from the date the notice was posted.
