Job summary

Forged Fiber is seeking a Fiber Build Forecasting Analyst to own unit-level forecasting for fiber construction programs. You will translate market plans, engineering inputs, construction activity, and financial targets into accurate build projections, partnering with Network Planning, Engineering, and Construction for capital planning and leadership decision-making.

The role is hybrid and based in Denver, CO; in-office presence 2-3 days per week is required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Analytics, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field.
  • Experience in FP&A, forecasting, and analytics preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain fiber build unit forecasts for enabled units and related build metrics.
  • Translate plans, assumptions, vendor capacity, permitting timelines, and priorities into forecast scenarios.
  • Analyze actuals vs. forecast, identify drivers, and recommend updates.
  • Create forecasting models, dashboards, and leadership reports to improve visibility into build performance.
  • Standardize forecasting methods, data definitions, and reporting cadence across teams.

The Role

The Fiber Build Forecasting Analyst owns unit-level forecasting for fiber construction programs, translating market plans, engineering inputs, construction activity, and financial targets into accurate build projections. This role partners with Network Planning, Engineering, and Construction to support capital planning, execution tracking, and leadership decision-making.



Work Location Hybrid- Must be located in Denver, CO

as this role requires you report in office 2-3 days a week.




  • The Develop and maintain fiber build unit forecasts for enabled units and related build metrics.

  • Translate construction plans, engineering assumptions, vendor capacity, permitting timelines, and market priorities into forecast assumptions and scenarios.

  • Analyze actuals versus forecast, identify variance drivers, risks, and opportunities, and recommend forecast updates.

  • Build forecasting models, dashboards, and leadership reporting to improve visibility into build performance and forecast accuracy.

  • Standardize forecasting methods, data definitions, assumptions, and reporting cadence across stakeholder teams.



Main Responsibilities


  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Analytics, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field.

  • 3+ years of experience in FP&A, operational forecasting, network planning, construction analytics, capital planning, or a related analytical role.

  • Strong forecasting, modeling, and analytical skills, including advanced Excel; Power BI, Tableau, SQL, or similar tools preferred.

  • Ability to synthesize operational and financial data into clear insights, recommendations, and executive-ready materials.

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to partner across finance, engineering, construction, and operations teams.



Preferred Qualifications


  • Telecommunications, broadband, fiber construction, utility infrastructure, or capital-intensive project experience.

  • Knowledge of the fiber build lifecycle, including design, permitting, construction, enablement, and closeout.

  • Experience with CapEx budgets, capital governance, variance analysis, long-range planning, and build metrics such as homes passed, route miles, serviceable units, and cost per passing.

Compensation

This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.



Location Based Pay Ranges

$85,700 - $128,500
