LG Electronics USA, Inc. in Alpharetta, GA seeks a Senior Field Engineer. Manage information flow of Commercial Air Condition (CAC) engineering for escalated service cases to proper HQ personnel to facilitate timely solutions and countermeasure to support of Commercial Air Condition partners. Responsible for managing sensitive proprietary information including software, tools and technical documentation from the factory for dissemination. Provide guidance and advice as a technical subject matter expert to ensure CAC Field Service issues are brought from inception to resolution. Manage information flow and knowledge transfer sessions for CAC Field teams and related teams. Serves as field technical engineering liaison between CAC Aftermarket Support Team to various R&D departments. Manage and collaborate with technical experts in LG CAC as well as LG Factory for identification and solutions for resolution of technical issues. Review and manage customer specific installation and service plan documents for CAC and chillers. Ensure quality stability following new product launches, provide prompt on-site technical support for quality issues and communicate with HQ to identify the cause and resolve the issue. Visit sites to provide technical support and solutions for various technical support requests that arise in the field, as well as conduct on-site troubleshooting training. Provide on-site driver training for test drives and troubleshooting guidance for on-site issues requested by the sales team. Write field visit reports, develop troubleshooting guides, review and respond to requests for field data review, review manuals, and create training materials for field personnel.
Travel: 50% travel required (about 10-15 days/month) throughout the Western US region to provide on-site technical support for quality issues and on-site troubleshooting.
Must possess Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a related field and 2 years of experience in the job offered or a related role in the Commercial Air Conditioning field. Must also possess experience with AHU, VRF, Commissioning service, Centrifugal chillers, GHP air conditioning systems, Networks for remote monitoring, Prototype and Custom design for energy performance and environmental impact and maintenance.
Recruiting Range: $89,523 — $96,939 USD
