Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace seeks a Sr. Export Compliance Officer to serve as a trusted advisor within its global integrated supply chain, guiding export controls under EAR/ITAR and OFAC.

Hybrid work model and direct reporting to the Manager of Export Compliance are included. The role requires 2+ years in export compliance, ITAR/EAR, and related sanctions knowledge, with a degree in engineering, international trade, or law.

In this role, the Sr. Export Compliance Officer will be a trusted advisor to Honeywell Aerospace’s global integrated supply chain (ISC) operations. Your expertise in the Export Administration Regulation (EAR) and the International Traffic in Arms Regulation (ITAR) will support the business leadership on strategic initiative and ensuring compliance with U.S export control regulations. This position reports directly to the Manager of Export Compliance, and you will work on a Hybrid work schedule.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and manage high volume of complex Department of State and Department of Commerce export licenses and authorizations
• Evaluate applicability of license exceptions and exemptions for proposed export transactions
• Evaluate end-to-end export authorization strategy for product development and transition programs/projects
• Assist with export authorization post-approval strategy and operationalize complex provisos/conditions
• Timely review and release export shipments in SAP-GTS against applicable export authorizations
• Conduct export compliance reviews for supply chain, procurement, logistics, quality, and program management related activities
• Assist with export audits, assessments, investigations and disclosures as needed
• Support export process and procedure review, improvement, and implementation
• Provide guidance to key internal and external stakeholders to enable effective collaboration among business units, foreign subsidiaries, and external partners.
• Deliver export compliance training to Honeywell Aerospace Strategic Business Groups
• Maintain complete and accurate records of export activities in support of regulatory reporting requirements

Qualifications

YOU MUST HAVE

• 2+ years related work experience in export compliance international trade, or a related field
• Experience with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulation (EAR). Familiarity with Sanctions regulation (OFAC)

• Knowledgeable about export requirements for software, technology/technical data, deemed export, re-exports, etc.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Proactive problem-solving, and critical thinking skills with the ability to identify and address compliance issues effectively.
• High ethical standards and integrity in handling sensitive and confidential information.

The annual base salary range for this position in Minnesota and California is $89,000 - $133,000. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline.
