Job Overview

We are looking for a versatile Senior Event Technology Manager to lead the digital tools workstream for our flagship B2B conference – a program spanning 35,000–50,000+ in-person attendees and 100,000+ virtual attendees. Reporting through Global Events, you will partner closely with the Lead, Event Digital Tools to execute the digital tools strategy for the event, serving as the hands‑on owner of registration, mobile app, content management, exhibitor management, meetings programs technology, and related onsite and virtual technologies.

You are an expert in RainFocus and bring proven experience delivering digital tools at flagship, large‑scale conference volume. You thrive amid fast‑moving, frequently changing requirements across many stakeholder groups, and you excel at distilling those requirements into clear deliverables for support contractors, agencies, and internal teams to execute against. While your primary focus is the flagship program, you will also provide secondary support to other large‑scale field and corporate events as capacity allows.

You bring a working knowledge of how AI can be applied inside event technology workflows – from incorporating agents into day‑to‑day operations to using AI tools productively and safely – and you look for opportunities to apply that thinking to improve how the team works.

The impact you will have:
  • Own execution of the digital tools workstream for our flagship customer conference (35,000–50,000+ in‑person / 100,000+ virtual), translating the strategy in close partnership with the Lead, Event Digital Tools into a detailed, well‑orchestrated build and execution plan.
  • You’ll bring technology (including our own) to the forefront of the attendee experience, use your solutions to accelerate stakeholder execution and provide a set of digital tools that enables all users to engage easily and quickly to accomplish their work or attendance goals.
  • Serve as the program RainFocus subject matter expert – owning configuration, workflow builds, testing, troubleshooting, and issue resolution across the registration and event management platform - supported by technical project managers for various technical modules.
  • Lead the working knowledge and hands‑on implementation of the event mobile app, from requirements through configuration, testing, and onsite support.
  • Own and support integrations between RainFocus, the mobile app, and adjacent technology systems (including Databricks, Salesforce and Marketo), ensuring clean, reliable data flow across attendee, registration, session, and lead data.
  • Manage fast‑moving and often‑changing requirements across multiple stakeholder groups – marketing, field, sponsorship, and vendor partners – translating shifting priorities into clear, actionable specifications leading to smooth operations and satisfied stakeholders.
  • Distill requirements and deliverables and distribute them across support contractors, agencies, and stakeholder groups, managing those relationships day‑to‑day to keep builds on schedule.
  • Define, track, and report measurable impact and outcomes for the digital tools workstream, using data to demonstrate value and inform future program decisions.
  • Partner with marketing operations, sales operations, and analytics to ensure registration and engagement data flow cleanly into the broader business technology ecosystem and support key reporting needs.
  • Document builds, configurations, and processes so they can be replicated across future events and understood by the broader team.
  • Provide secondary support to other large‑scale field and corporate programs as bandwidth allows, applying flagship‑level best practices across the broader event portfolio.
  • Explore and apply AI‑driven tools and agent‑based workflows within event technology operations, evaluating opportunities to improve efficiency while using AI in a safe, responsible, and productive way.
  • Travel onsite to directly support the flagship event and, on occasion, other large‑scale programs.
What we look for:
  • 7–10+ years of experience in corporate events, with hands‑on, direct experience configuring and administering RainFocus.
  • Demonstrated experience leading a digital tools workstream for a flagship‑scale conference of 35,000–50,000+ in‑person and 100,000+ virtual attendees, with measurable impact and outcomes to show for it.
  • Working knowledge and demonstrated implementation experience with event mobile apps.
  • Proven experience building and managing integrations between event technology platforms and the broader marketing technology stack.
  • Proven ability to manage fast‑moving, frequently changing requirements across multiple, sometimes competing, stakeholder groups.
  • Experience distilling requirements and deliverables and distributing them effectively across support contractors, agencies, and internal stakeholder groups.
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent working experience.
  • Understanding of AI agent concepts and incorporating AI into workflows, with demonstrated ability to use AI tools in a productive and safe way.
  • Familiarity with the current and emerging marketing event technology landscape (RainFocus, Stova, Swoogo, Eventbase, Amego, etc.) and platform integrations with enterprise platforms like Databricks, Marketo and Salesforce.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and relationship‑building skills.
  • Strong program and project management skills, with comfort operating in a swiftly changing landscape.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally and be onsite to directly support events.
