UMass Memorial Health Care, Inc. is seeking a Sr Epic Database Administrator to lead administration and lifecycle management of InterSystems Cache/IRIS databases supporting Epic EHR environments.
You will ensure high availability, DR readiness, and cloud-based architecture while collaborating with Epic, infrastructure, and cloud teams. The role requires deep IRIS/Cache internals knowledge, Linux expertise, and ITIL-aligned processes.
Exemption Status: Exempt Hiring Range: $101,025.60 - $181,854.40 (based on a full time schedule of 40 hours per week). Please note that the final offer will vary based on scheduled hours. Compensation for part-time or reduced schedules will be prorated based on scheduled weekly hours, experience, skills, qualifications, and internal equity considerations.

The Sr Epic Database Administrator is responsible for the administration, performance, reliability, and lifecycle management of InterSystems Cache and IRIS databases supporting Epic EHR environments. This role ensures stability across production, non production, disaster recovery, and reporting systems while supporting the organization’s transition toward cloud based Epic architectures. The Sr DBA collaborates closely with application teams, infrastructure engineers, cloud architects, and operational leaders to maintain high availability, optimize system performance, and uphold healthcare technology standards.
Unless certification, licensure or registration is required, an equivalent combination of education and experience which provides proficiency in the areas of responsibility listed in this description may be substituted for the above requirements.
