Job summary

APTIM has an opening in Canton, MA for a Licensed Site Professional / Project Manager to lead site investigations and remedial actions in New England. You will oversee proposals, client relations, and project invoicing while mentoring junior staff.

The role requires MCP knowledge, Phase I/II experience, and a MA LSP or CT LEP certification, with a pay range around $135K-$180K and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Geology, Environmental Engineering or other Science degree required.
• 10+ years of experience in the environmental assessment and remediation industry.
• 3+ years of experience in project management and personnel management in the environmental assessment and remediation industry.
• Experience/knowledge working under the Massachusetts Contingency Plan (MCP CMR 40.0000).
• Experience in conducting Phase I and Phase II due diligence assessments.
• Must have strong written and oral communication skills.
• Current HAZWOPER certification
• Valid Driver's License
• Have a Massachusetts Licensed Site Professional (LSP) and/or Connecticut Licensed Environmental Professional (LEP) Certifications

Job Overview

Our Canton, MA office is looking for a Licensed Site Professional / Project Manager to participate in the development, management and implementation of site investigations and remedial actions projects in New England. This may include environmental and site contamination assessments and remediation projects for state and local government, industrial and commercial retail clients. The successful candidate will prepare proposals and manage environmental projects to client expectations from proposal through execution to invoicing and be able to effectively manage and mentor less experienced staff.

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities

• Managing client projects from proposal through execution and Invoicing.


• Writing proposals and meeting with prospective and existing clients to help bring in new work to the Canton, MA office.


• Prepare presentations for business development and industry trade shows / conferences.


• Interaction and cooperation with the client and the client's staff, vendors, contractors.


• Executing various work scopes and maintaining project schedules and budgetary goals.


• Work independently or as part of a project team and be able to adjust to changing site conditions.


• Mentoring and training less experienced personnel and supervise contractors.


• Interpretation/evaluation of scientific data.


• Provide technical support to projects in all phases of work and a variety of scopes that include conceptual design, site characterization, remediation design, procurement, and construction.


• Manage, coordinate, and review Phase I and Phase II environmental site assessments and remedial actions.

Basic Qualifications

• Experience working in New England states.


• Experience managing environmental assessments, permitting, permit compliance, environmental due diligence, and remediation of contaminated sites.

As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the current pay range for this position is $135K-$180K annually. Compensation depends on several factors including: experience, education, key skills, geographic location of the position, client requirements, external market competitiveness, and internal equity among other employees within APTIM.
