Leads complex technical efforts and mentors junior staff in the development of studies, specifications, asset strategies, and performance evaluations for Exelon's transmission and utility infrastructure. This role works closely with Transmission Area Maintenance Engineers (AMEs) to support the development, prioritization, and execution of overhead transmission maintenance and asset management programs. The successful candidate will be expected to develop a strong understanding of overhead transmission line design, maintenance practices, asset health drivers, maintenance execution considerations, and reliability performance in order to support risk-informed maintenance planning, long-term asset strategy development, and investment decision-making.
Provides leadership for integrated systems analysis, maintenance program development, and budget planning associated with transmission assets and major capital and maintenance initiatives. Develops strategic recommendations based on detailed evaluations of asset condition, inspection findings, maintenance history, system performance, reliability risks, and business objectives. Works collaboratively with Transmission AMEs and field personnel to understand maintenance challenges, identify asset risks, and develop practical, executable solutions that improve asset performance and reliability. Responsibilities may include leading design and maintenance reviews, coordinating with contractors and internal stakeholders, validating engineering analyses, managing project documentation and maintenance workflows, developing cost-benefit evaluations, and supporting storm response and system restoration efforts. May require extended hours during storms or other energy delivery emergencies.
