Cardinal Health is seeking a Senior Engineering Analyst for Project Management in Strategic Commercialization. You will coordinate and execute new product introduction and commercialization projects for medical products, collaborating with Marketing, Sourcing, Engineering, Quality, Regulatory, Operations, Logistics, and suppliers to ensure timely launches.

  • Experience working with third-party manufacturers, supplier-driven products, or private brand products preferred.
  • Working knowledge of product lifecycle systems, Agile, engineering change orders, SKU setup, artwork development, packaging, logistics readiness, and distribution setup preferred.
  • Strong facilitation, communication, planning, organization, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate cross-functional project activities for the introduction and commercialization of new Private Brand medical products sourced from third-party manufacturers.
  • Collaborate with Marketing to gather information for defining product needs and supporting product selection decisions.
  • Collaborate with Sourcing to assist in evaluating third-party manufacturers and supplier onboarding activities.
  • Build and maintain integrated project plans, schedules, milestones, action registers, risk plans, and escalation paths.
  • Execute and support the new product introduction process from concept approval through commercial launch readiness.
  • Coordinate SKU setup across commercial, master data, planning, supply chain, and distribution teams.
  • Coordinate and manage engineering change order activities needed to add new products into the PLM system, including documentation and approvals.
  • Coordinate new artwork, labeling, packaging, and product documentation with Marketing, Regulatory, Quality, Packaging Engineering, and external suppliers.
  • Partner with Logistics, Trade Compliance, Planning, Warehousing, and Distribution teams to confirm import requirements and distribution readiness.
  • Monitor project health, risks, dependencies, and launch readiness; provide data-driven updates to leadership.
  • Facilitate meetings, identify barriers, and elevate issues early to support timely decisions.
  • Verify deliverables meet quality, regulatory, commercial, sourcing, and operational requirements.
  • Support improvements to Private Brand sourcing and NPI processes.

Sr Engineering Analyst - Project Management - Strategic Commercialization

Job Summary

This position is responsible for coordinating and executing new product introduction and commercialization projects for medical products sourced from third-party medical device manufacturers and/or self/contract manufactured. The Sr Analyst collaborates with Marketing, Sourcing, Engineering, Quality, Regulatory, Operations, Logistics, and external suppliers to facilitate the identification, sourcing, setup, and launch of products that fill portfolio gaps. The Sr Analyst executes and coordinates day-to-day project activities across the full new product introduction process, including supplier selection support, project planning, SKU creation, engineering change order management, Agile system setup, artwork development, import readiness, warehousing readiness, distribution network setup, and launch execution. This role contributes to the timely delivery of projects, within scope, and in compliance with applicable quality and regulatory requirements by monitoring progress and identifying potential deviations.

Responsibilities

Facilitate and coordinate cross-functional project activities for the introduction and commercialization of new Private Brand medical products sourced from third-party manufacturers. Collaborate with Marketing to gather information for defining product needs, confirming business priorities, and supporting product selection decisions. Collaborate with Sourcing to assist in the evaluation of third-party manufacturers, support supplier selection, align supplier capabilities, and coordinate onboarding activities. Build and maintain integrated project plans, schedules, milestones, action registers, decision logs, risk plans, and escalation paths. Execute and support the new product introduction process from concept approval through commercial launch readiness. Coordinate SKU setup across commercial, master data, planning, supply chain, and distribution teams. Coordinate and manage engineering change order activities needed to add new products into the Agile product lifecycle management system, including required documentation, approvals, and cross-functional inputs. Coordinate new artwork, labeling, packaging, and product documentation with Marketing, Regulatory, Quality, Packaging Engineering, and external suppliers. Partner with Logistics, Trade Compliance, Planning, Warehousing, and Distribution teams to confirm import requirements, lane setup, warehouse readiness, inventory planning, and distribution network execution. Monitor project health, including timing, scope, risks, dependencies, open decisions, supplier readiness, operational readiness, and launch readiness. Prepare and deliver clear status updates, risks, and tradeoffs, providing data-driven insights to inform recommendations for functional leaders and senior leadership. Facilitate team meetings, identify and communicate potential barriers, elevate issues early, and support teams in making timely decisions. Verify and monitor that deliverables meet applicable quality, regulatory, commercial, sourcing, and operational requirements. Support improvements to Private Brand sourcing and new product introduction processes by contributing to the identification of handoff gaps, recurring barriers, and opportunities to simplify execution. May coordinate or support multiple active product sourcing and new product introduction projects simultaneously.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred. Project Management Professional certification a plus. 2+ years of project management, sourcing, supply chain, product commercialization, or new product introduction experience preferred. Experience working in a regulated environment such as medical devices, healthcare, pharmaceutical, automotive, government, or another controlled industry preferred. Experience working with third-party manufacturers, supplier-driven products, or private brand products preferred. Working knowledge of product lifecycle systems, Agile, engineering change orders, SKU setup, artwork development, packaging, logistics readiness, and distribution setup preferred. Strong understanding of project management practices, including scope management, schedule development, critical path management, risk management, resource coordination, action tracking, and corrective action planning. Experience contributing to or supporting projects through a structured stage-gate, commercialization, or new product introduction process preferred. Strong facilitation, communication, planning, organization, and problem-solving skills. Ability to collaborate effectively and communicate clearly across cross-functional teams to facilitate project progress. Ability to communicate project status, risks, and data-driven insights to leadership in a clear and practical way. Up to 15% travel may be required based on project and supplier needs. Early morning or evening calls may be needed at times to support global teams and suppliers.
