PJM Interconnection, LLC is seeking a (Sr) Engineer I/II to support the interconnection of new generation and merchant transmission projects, and to install network upgrades ensuring reliability of the PJM grid. You will coordinate with transmission owners, developers, and other stakeholders to plan, schedule, and manage interconnection activities.

The role involves analyzing projects from design through interconnection agreements, with emphasis on technical support, troubleshooting, and process

Qualifications

• Required: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 0–5 years of field experience in substation/transmission construction or generation operations.
• Preferred: MS degree in Engineering and PJM operations knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Serve as liaison between PJM and stakeholders for design and scheduling of new connections to the PJM bulk power system.
• Develop and coordinate project work plans for generation and transmission reinforcement projects.
• Perform project management to establish timelines and monitor milestones from design to interconnection service agreement.
• Coordinate with PJM divisions to meet system reinforcement requirements.
• Issue interconnection studies and agreements for generation and merchant transmission projects.
