Job summary

Responsibilities

• Lead and support engineering projects related to manufacturing and packaging equipment.
• Design and implement new equipment and processes to optimize performance.
• Develop, execute, and support equipment and process validation activities.
• Provide technical expertise for packaging systems, troubleshooting equipment, and process optimization.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Manufacturing, Quality, Validation, and Operations to ensure successful project execution.
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory, quality, and safety requirements.
• Prepare and maintain engineering documentation, protocols, reports, and project records.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance reliability, efficiency, and productivity.

mîrus Consulting Group is a local company based in Humacao, Puerto Rico that provides computer system validation and information technology consulting services to pharmaceutical companies and other organizations across the Island and parts of the United States. Its services include the assessment and validation of automation equipment, network infrastructures and business processes, as well as the project management involved.

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Engineer to support engineering projects and equipment initiatives within a regulated manufacturing environment. The selected candidate will be responsible for packaging equipment projects, process and equipment design, validation activities, and engineering support while ensuring compliance with quality and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support engineering projects related to manufacturing and packaging equipment.
• Design and implement new equipment and process improvements to optimize operational performance.
• Develop, execute, and support equipment and process validation activities.
• Provide technical expertise for packaging systems, troubleshooting equipment, and process optimization.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Manufacturing, Quality, Validation, and Operations to ensure successful project execution.
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory, quality, and safety requirements.
• Prepare and maintain engineering documentation, protocols, reports, and project records.

Minimum Qualifications

• Doctorate degree in Engineering; OR
• Master's degree in Engineering and 2 years of engineering experience; OR
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 4 years of engineering experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of Packaging Equipment.
• Knowledge of Design of New Equipment and Processes.
• Experience managing and executing Engineering Projects.
• Knowledge of Validation Processes.
• Experience within the Medical Device and/or Pharmaceutical industry.
• Fully bilingual (English and Spanish), both written and verbal.

Schedule

• 1st Shift: Monday - Friday
• 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
