Job summary

Oceaneering seeks a Senior Electrician to support the Facilities department in updating and maintaining all electrical systems. The role requires hands-on expertise with industrial environments, NEC interpretation, and adherence to OSHA safety standards.

Qualifications

• Requires at least 2 years of senior electrician experience in construction or industrial settings.
• Possesses verifiable senior industrial electrician certifications.
• Able to interpret the National Electric Code (NEC).
• Proficient in lockout/tagout and energy isolation practices.
• Capable of understanding a project request and delivering end-to-end completion.
• Familiar with OSHA safety standards.
• Experience with AC and DC motors and drives.
• Experience with preventive maintenance and repairs on electrical systems.
• Able to read electrical diagrams, schematics, and blueprints; strong troubleshooting skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.

Job description

The Sr. Electrician will assist the Facilities department in updating and maintaining all electrical systems.

REQUIRED

• Minimum two (2) years’ experience working as a senior Electrician in construction or industrial environment
• Verifiable senior industrial electrician/electrical certifications
• Knowledge of and ability to interpret the National Electric Code (NEC), Code Book
• Proficient in fundamentals of lockout/tagout/energy isolation
• Able to understand a project request and successfully complete it from start to finish
• Knowledge of OSHA safety standards
• Experience with AC & DC motors & drives
• Experience with performing preventive maintenance tasks, taking corrective action for repairs, and knowledgeable of electrical equipment installations
• Ability to read electrical diagrams, schematics and blueprints, systems troubleshooting
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, other)

DESIRED

• Primarily outdoors during the day and occasionally at night.
