Job Summary

The Senior Electrician is a Washington State licensed EL01 Journey Level Electrician responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and continuous improvement of manufacturing equipment, facility electrical systems, and power distribution systems. This position serves as the department’s technical expert for electrical infrastructure, equipment reliability, and electrical code compliance while providing technical guidance to maintenance personnel.

Essential Functions
  • Perform advanced journey-level installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and modification of manufacturing equipment, facility electrical systems, and power distribution systems.
  • Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical distribution systems up to 480 VAC, three-phase, 60 Hz and 400 Hz systems, DC power systems, MCCs, transformers, switchgear, distribution panels, breakers, disconnects, lighting, generators, ATS, UPS systems, receptacles, conduit, and associated electrical equipment.
  • Troubleshoot electrical, control, and power distribution issues to identify root cause and safely restore equipment.
  • Support manufacturing by diagnosing electrical failures and coordinating repairs to minimize production downtime.
  • Read, interpret, and update electrical schematics, one-line diagrams, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
  • Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance.
  • Lead electrical installation and facility improvement projects including estimating labor, materials, scheduling, and execution.
  • Coordinate contractor work and ensure compliance with NEC, NFPA 70E, OSHA, company policies, and applicable codes.
  • Evaluate equipment performance and recommend reliability and energy improvements.
  • Maintain maintenance records and work orders within the CMMS.
  • Provide technical coaching and mentoring to maintenance personnel.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Production, Facilities, and other departments on capital projects and continuous improvement.
  • Participate in Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, and TPM initiatives.
  • Provide technical leadership in coordination with the Maintenance Coordinator, Lead, or Supervisor.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Eligibility Requirement

This position may require access to Controlled Data or Information. Where the position requires such access only US Persons will be considered. As a US Department of Defense contractor, we are bound by International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).

Non-Essential Functions
  • Participate on Emergency Response and HAZMAT response teams (training provided).
  • Maintain inventory of electrical materials, spare parts, and critical equipment.
  • Assist with procurement, vendor coordination, and maintaining minimum stock levels.
  • Support office moves, facility modifications, security systems, and other maintenance activities.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Valid Washington State EL01 Journey Level Electrician License.
  • Five (5) years of industrial, aerospace, manufacturing, or commercial electrical maintenance experience following receipt of an EL01 license.
  • Knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC), NFPA 70E, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), electrical troubleshooting, diagnostic techniques, and applicable state/local codes.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, communication, organizational, and project planning skills.
  • Ability to interpret electrical drawings and safely use electrical testing equipment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CMMS software.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Seven (7)+ years of industrial, commercial, or manufacturing experience as a lead or senior electrician.
  • Experience troubleshooting PLC-controlled equipment.
  • Experience with Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), instrumentation, and industrial automation.
  • Experience leading projects and mentoring electricians or maintenance technicians.

Salary range: $45.00 - $58.31. Several factors contribute to actual salary, including experience in a similar role or performing comparable job responsibilities, skills, training, and other qualifications. Some roles may be eligible for participation in performance-based bonus programs.
