Responsibilities & Expectations

• Perform testing and maintenance on low, medium, and high voltage power distribution equipment for commercial and industrial clients.
• Lead teams in the field, assisting with testing and troubleshooting.
• Conduct testing and calibrations including instrument transformers, power transformers, cable testing, circuit breaker & switchgear testing, protective relay testing, and power quality assessments.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, start-up, and collect data on switchgear, circuit breakers, cables, transformers, protective relays, VFDs, ATS.
• Perform service and repairs, including inspections, diagnosing issues, replacing parts, and recommissioning equipment.
• Adhere to all safety protocols, including LOTO procedures.
• Contribute to a strong team environment and assist teammates as needed.
• Communicate effectively with customers, explaining issues and resolutions clearly.
• Complete detailed reports on work performed.
• Perform tasks according to NETA or NICET standards as required.

Qualifications & Competencies

• Minimum of 5 years relevant testing experience.
• Proficient with tools and testing equipment such as Megger, digital multimeter, Hi-Pot tester, oil dielectric tester, relay testers, injection sets, cable fault detectors, oscilloscopes.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to interpret schematics, manuals, and safety guidelines.
• Flexible hours, including overtime and weekends; willingness to be on call.
